Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course, but small greens
The course was in good condition, considering that its late winter. Very interesting, challenging layout with many holes that require strategic forethought. The greens were nice, although somewhat slower than other local courses. Many of the greens are rather small and leave little room for error on the approach.
Each of the staff members with whom we interacted were very friendly and helpful. And the food on site is terrific!
Scramble players
Today was not a good day for some reason the wanted us to follow a group for 4 holes
They were finishing a group outing of about 8 carts so 4 holes took about 2 hours i left.
Not a good way to treat paying customers I will not return to this course. They have brand new carts with the screen that wont let you drive to your ball if you are a little off track it beeps until you go back to the cart path non stop. Super annoying we're not pros
Marshal
Your marshal is far from being a gentleman on the 8th hole your cart path sign was on the ground so i went with my cart in the rough to hit my ball he insisted I return to the cart path and walk back to my ball what nonsense i guess he was afraid i would find lost balls that he was looking for.I’m 78 Years old.
Great Course! Really like playing it.
Greens are small in some holes but it is totally fine. I love playing this course. Great Value, Nice Course.
Decent Course
Decent course for the money. Greens are small as was explained, they were very firm but rolled well. off fairway lies were pretty rough as a lot of dead areas due to Winter I assume? Pace of play was excellent
Nice course
Pace was good, 4hrs 10min, staff super friendly. Greens was in great shape! Fairways a little thin for my liking, but the best fairways I have played in February down here!
Good course, good staff
Crescent Oaks is a nice layout. It is long and there is more sand traps than most courses. Unfortunately the sand there isn't the white powdery kind that gives you a clean shot to get out. Somewhat frustrating. Fairways in excellent shape, tee boxes in good shape, greens in good shape but very fast and hard. It's better to hit approach shots short than to land in the middle of the green, ball tends to roll off the back. They have a good starter so if you are a single they will pair you. On this particular Tuesday I played there were many 4 -somes and a mixed league but they were playing fast enough that was able to play 18 in 3 hours 45 minutes which is pretty good but that's because this 3 some in front of us let us play through.
Great course to play
Overall liked the conditions compared to couple other courses I had played. Challenging course especially in the back 9. Friendly staff
Would play again i when back in Tampa
