Quail Hollow Golf Course, located in Wesley Chapel, sits a convenient five minutes off of I-75 and state road 54. This championship course, designed by Charles E. Griffin, has been a favorite of Tampa locals since opening in 1965. The layout underwent major renovations in 2011 that totally reconditioned the greens and fairways as well as partially rebuilt it to make it more challenging. Bunkers were both reshaped and added. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and the large bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides. The golf course is demanding at times and will test your shot-making skills, but it is a fair challenge that is not too intimidating for beginners. Four sets of tees make it even more approachable for a range of skill levels.

Nice layout
The course looked good some greens had a few bad spots on them but they rolled true. It was a little wet to start because of the weather that morning but cleared up and was fine. Got a good deal for $22 and had a good time. Will play again soon.
fun course
greens were sandy but putts fell ! greens will grow in soon
Course is insxpensive
Fairways look shoddy with many unrepaired divots. Several of the greens were in very poor shape with bare patches covered with green colored dirt.this corse needs work.
Waste of a challenging layout
very scruffy course conditions and the greens overall were below average and very slow. The second time I have played it in 6 months and it appears the conditions have gotten worse. This is a challenging layout that puts a demand on the tee shots as water is in play. Several bunkers had thin layers of sand which made the club bounce into the ball if you tried to play a proper bunker shot, you had to close the face somewhat to dig into the hard-pan underneath. Would return only when I hear that improvements were made. Too many other courses around that can be enjoyed.
Nice place to play
The course was in great shape. Greens are in great shape, fairways all grass and watered.
This course is challenging for every level of golfer.
This s my second time playing this course and I plan on playing a lot more I love it
Pros and cons
Good course. Nice layout with a great atmosphere. Lots of holes are tree lined. Most courses in fl are lined with houses. There are a few holes on this course setup this way but overall, great views. More than a handful of greens need work. There is a hole on the back 9 that is a complete disaster. Wasn't expecting every hole to be pristine but a little disappointed. Lots of ball marks.
Afternoon golf
We were disappointed that it wasn't listed on our Garmin GPS watch. We had a very enjoyable round.
Nice course to play.
First time playing the course. Very nice layout, gave you a chance to score if you hit the fairway on your tee shot. Pace of play was really slow, because our tee time was at noon and there was many groups ahead of us and took 4 1/2 hours to play. Greens were fast and firm and rolled true, staff was nice and friendly. Will play this course again.
Not too bad
It's a descent course in the area. Conditions were up to par but the course was pretty flat. Good greens tho. Check it out if you are in the area.
Average in all aspects
Not bad for a friday afternoon.
But nothing soectacular with regard to course conditions or staff friendlyness.
We were early but there was no driving range. Finally teamed up with a very likeable twosome.
Enjoyable afternoon, but it is not a course I will remember for long.
nice course
the fairways were in good shape. the greens were very good. the course seems to hold water after day before rain. five holes were cart path only. the staff was very efficient and helpful. will play again when dry
Great shape
Played this course last year in March, thought it was in ok shape, this in was in greate shape
Just OK
Course was in pretty good shape and pace of play was just barely OK at 4hr 30min. Facilities are great for eating and bar BUT with no driving range the course in my opinion is very lacking. This problem as compounded by their "hitting nets" that were horrible. The matts were torn to shreds and the net was only covering half the cage.
DRAINAGE ISSUES
THE AREA HAD RECEIVED CLOSE TO AN INCH OF RAIN THE DAY BEFORE. MANY OF THE FAIRWAYS WERE PONDS. THE RAIN IS NO ONES FAULT AND UN AVOIDABLE. THEY DO HAVE SEVERAL AREA'S THAT HAVE DRAINAGE ISSUES ON THE COURSE. IF THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF RAIN IN THEIR AREA IT MIGHT BE A GOOD PLACE TO AVOID UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE.
Pre-Super Bowl Golf
Played late in the afternoon until dark. The greens were in great shape. Nice, relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Definitely will return again!
Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink!!
I should have listened to other reviews and not play this course if it had rained on the days preceding our golf outing. Course was very wet. Not counting the par 3's, there were approximately 7 holes where it was cart path only. Most of the fairways were "squishy" from the rain the day before. Otherwise the course was okay. Challenging layout and the greens were in pretty good shape. Pace of play was slow, almost 5 hours to play 18 holes. Part of this could be attributed to the cart path restrictions on a lot of the holes.
My other low rating was for the quality of food and beverage, or lack of it. The cart girl met us on the third hole and we did not see her again until the 17th hole. There were several water stations at some of the tee boxes, but no water. They had a sign on the 8th tee box about "Beer and a Golf Hot dog for $5, no waiting". After the 9th hole we wanted to take them up on the deal but it was closed. Really, at 1:30 on a Friday and the course is packed!! My friend went into the lounge (bar) to get something to drink and no one was there. If they are going to treat their customers like this then they should allow you to bring your own cooler with your own drinks. It may be a long time before I play this course again.
Decent course for the money
Two rounds for $65 was a pretty good deal. Too bad the staff and facility is run so badly. Starter barely acknowledged us on arrival, no range but 3 and a half balls available at "hitting tent". Very slow play due to frost delay. The course is actually quite nice with only a few rough greens. It was a long day (no ranger on course) and the rudeness of the staff was something to remember.
Wouldn't return.
greens very well protected by sand traps
we had a great time even if weather turned bad on us
A nice course
Very scenic course. I was looking for a course that was not squeezed in between rows of homes and this fit the bill. Majority of holes were not house lined. Not terribly difficult but a lot of greens protected by bunkers which were in good shape...any bad holes I had were my own fault.
