Winter Park Pines Golf Club
About
Winter Park Pines Golf Club has offered one of the most affordable rounds in the greater Orlando area since first opening in 1968. The course has a traditional design that is ideal for beginners though it's also great if you're looking for a quick, casual round. The par-70 golf course may seem odd with a par-34 front nine and a par-36 back nine, but the layout manages to blend together seamlessly. The golf course has short par 4s and par 3s of varying lengths. There is one par 5 that measures 462 yards. The first half of the course is especially scenic with mature trees framing most of the holes. In addition to the golf course, Winter Park Pines also has a practice facility available. It features a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens with a bunker.

Keeps getting better
The city is doing a great job putting money into this course and it will pay off.
My only complaint is the pace of play and lack of players fixing divots and pitch marks. I love that the city (like with winter park 9) is making golf more accessible to folks, but it did contribute to slowness and players not taking care of the course. A twosome in my group had a beginner that took 20 shots each hole and never filled his divots.
Winter Pines
I couldn't recommend this course enough. From the staff to the course layout. The staff first of all was exceptional, they provided great friendly service. The course was fun and provided a challenge, while also rewarding us with some fun holes.
Good course with a few problems
Bartenders are friendly and helpful. The course is in good shape. Everything is fine except they use the speaker system too much. Golf is a quiet game for a reason. Someone shouting instructions from a microphone in the pro shop is a bad idea. Look at fixing the need to use that while golfers are on the tee box. We could hear it on at least 3 tee boxes. Once caught my friend on his downswing. Other than that I like playing here.
Not for me
I play WP 9 regularly. I have been intrigued by the slippage of the course since the city added WP 18 to its ownership so decided to give it a go. I don't know if it is a cause/ effect deal but it is at the very least coincidental.
WP 18 was muddy.. The greens are ok and that is being a bit generous. I did not care for the layout but I only played 9 holes.
I paid $30.00 for 9 holes but apparently there is a twi light rate of $25 that allows you to play as much as you can. My bad for not looking at the website but WP18 bad for not offering it in Golf Now.
Staff was very friendly and the restaurant looks like a major upgrade
WINTER PINES DOES NOT DISAPPOINT
We exclusively golf at Winter Pines when we come to Florida for the winter from Nova Scotia. We are never disappointed!
Been awhile
It’s been awhile since I have been here. The new management has done a great job.
New carts with a great GPS system and built on cart ball and club washer.
The 19th hole has been redone too and the staff was great.
Can’t wait to go back.
Brilliant course
Love playing this course, don’t be put off by looking at the card and thinking it’s a Mickey Mouse course because of all the par 3’s on the back nine. Some of the par 3’s are long and the shorter ones can be tricky depending on the flag positioning.
Staff are very friendly.
Excellent Course and Friendly Staff
Mark was very welcoming when we arrived at the course. We were set up with a golf cart and enjoyed playing through the 9 holes that we had booked.
The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and overall it was an excellent experience. We will be back!
