Winter Park Pines Golf Club

Ahhh, the new WP18, getting better for sure! Greens much better than before city purchase, still a little ways to go. Improvements can be seen everywhere.

Course is very muddy, understaffed, tee time was 2:40pm for 18 holes if we weren’t early we would have been able to play the whole 18 since course was closing, however multiple tee times were available on golfnow

I need a refund for this transaction. The course was closed you guys have terrible customer service and I’m getting frustrated. Please respond to my email or something I just need the money back.

Played in a group with the UCFGA and friends. Everyone had a great time, but not great scores. The course is in fabulous shape after being purchased by the City.

Did not like customer service given at the location. It doesn’t make sense to pair up singles to completely change their tee times and force them to play at the convenience of the clubs time. It does not make sense to pair groups that are walking with groups that are in carts, as there is a big wait delay and affects pace of place. Course is rough in many spots.

I want to start by saying any negative review of this course has to be taken with a grain of salt. The amount of traffic this course gets day to day it is truly a miracle it is in as good of shape as it seems to always be. I’ve played here dozens of times since moving to Winter Park. It’s always between 20-40$ depending on the season. It’s not the hardest course by any means but it is a good place for practice or to take out a rookie golfer. That being said the greens were in great shape fairways and the rough are more than playable and you can find your ball. Tip: Play a colored ball off the first tee if you hit right (range balls everywhere).

I’ve been noticing a trend of diminishing courtesy by employees I encounter at businesses I visit. We’ll what a breath of fresh air the gentleman behind the counter at Winter Pines was to interact with when my wife and I went there to play a round. I really wish I had gotten his name. He was awesome and his actions alone would be why I would recommend Winter Pines.

Do you like overpaying? Do enjoy 6 hour rounds of golf? Do you like horrible course conditions? If yes to all then this is the place for you. The only thing worse than the soggy muddy course conditions is the staff. Be prepared to be treated horribly.
