About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Disappointed
The last time I played here was before pandemic and I thought it was great then. Very disappointed on the pace of play yesterday. there are groups where they hit 4-5x from tee box/fairway and you just can’t do that. Players need to learn basic golf etiquette before playing at any golf course.
They say you get what you pay for and I sure did! Never coming back here unless I’m with someone who is a beginner.
Pace of play was great for a Saturday
Played in 3 hours and 30 minutes which is good for a Saturday afternoon tee time
Cool little track
We play here a few times a month. It’s a fun little track but seems to be over crowded lately.
Fun course with challenging charm
I’ve been playing golf for 20+ years and my wife just started playing. This course is perfect for honing in iron and wedge distances for the mid handicap, or or long hitter. It also worked as a great practice course for the newcomer, with seemingly scoreable holes. The bar/grille was a cherry on top. Cheap beer, fountain, soda, and one of the better hotdogs I’ve ever had.
Decent muni
Decent course. Greens were very soft. Lots of damage at edges of greens. People weren't repairing ball marks. Carts were older and worn out.
