About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Baker is a challenge for your short game
Leave your woods to home. Irons and hybrid to tune your game. Lots of challenges and trouble to avoid. Accuracy rewarded, miss hits find trouble. Sometimes slow play is tough but last few times out good pace.
It would be nice if more golfers observed courtesy etiquette, such as a very slow and errant shot making threesome being a hole and a half behind and not signal a constantly waiting twosome to play through.
They should call it Baker Dirt
Do they realize that if they plant seed grass will grow? I paid for 18 and left after 9 holes because of pace of play, half the course is literally dirt, the greens are a mess, and they had the tees up so far it was weird. So much duck droppings everywhere it was ridiculous. The sand trap was so hard your club bounced. Nothing ascetically pleasing about this dog track. STAY AWAY. Pay the extra and go next door to Mile Square.

Going downhill
Poor tee boxes.
Divots (iron type) on the greens.
No tee time order of play control. (Guys who jumped in front of us had a tee time that was 40 min after us, but was instructed to just "go ahead" from pro shop. Later found out the group behind us was an hour early and allowed to tee off as well)
Bunkers were lakes.
Soupy mud all over the fairways.
2 random carts on the course for to battery failures.
I won't be coming back again.

Great course.
I was enjoying playing golf this course.
But when I reservation was golf carts included.
When I asked starter he said no golf carts.
Because fields are wet.
Good thing I brought golf pull cart otherwise I can’t play.. you should say cart not included or bring pull cart.

Good Layout
Fun day playing golf, but this is the second time that I have played this course the Blue Tee boxes have been moved up to between the yellow and white tee boxes. Pace of play was very good finishing in 3HR. and 6 Min.
To slow
The pace was way too slow fairways need some maintenance but not bad
