David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

wet tee boxes
Played for first time and found the course very wet. there were times just trying to find firm and dry place in tee boxes was a pain. course played ok but just very wet all over.
Hello u314163874700,
We are sorry to hear about the wet course conditions you experienced during your visit with us. It is unusual for the course to be so wet, but I know depending on the time of day you play, the course may be more wet than normal. We apologize for this inconvenience and we hope you will give us another chance in the future!
We appreciate the rating, even if it means we could have done better. If you’d like to share any details about your experience, we are always looking for ways to improve.
25 miles freeway close
My first play at this course. Itis a nice, flat executive course. I rode a cart because i need it and it was included in fee. There are water features which can be avoided. Holes are a mixture of 3s and 4s. Nice round.
Simonhkg, thanks for taking the time to rate us. If you’d like to share any details about your experience, we are always looking for ways to improve.
Some land, some water, lots of geese and squirrels!
Overall the course, although shorter, shorts 3s, 4s, no 5s. It is in great shape, well maybe because of all the rain? The price is getting up there with normal length courses and that saddens me, because why would I go to a short course rather than a championship course? For very similar money? The big advantage of DLB is a course to work on your accuracy and not monster drives..
Okay to get your short game back into shape
Short course but challenging greens. Pace can be and was an issue. Overall not a bad place to tune up your short game.
Thank for your your feedback! We will continue to work on our pace of play and we hope to show you the improvements the next time you visit.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience, hwlee001, but the feedback is appreciated. We’ll look into this.
