David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Diamond in the Rough
Truly a hidden gem!! I drove down from the South Bay Area, not knowing what to expect, and the round turned out to be great!! Perfect to work on the short & mid-range game!! Used driver once, just to get it out of my system, but not necessary. Anything between a 4-iron to a 7-iron sufficed on the longer par-4’s. I’ll definitely return here!!
Shake and Bake baby!
Fun little course. Great for practicing iron play. And these guys are the ones you want in your corner, while the whole world freaks out. They've maintained an excellent environment through out all of this craziness. I've been to many other courses where everyone seems on the verge on an aneurysm. Not Baker. Everybody be chillin'. Thanks Bake.
One specific
Just so glad you are open. But as seniors it would be helpful if you would rent carts.
Good for your short game.
Chris, you are the best! Thanks for a fun round! Staff is working hard and staying safe. Good job!
Lucky to Play.
Feel lucky to play to be able to play despite a little bit of rain. Fast pace, friendly staff. Easy walking course.
People
Staff is very helpful and friendly! Course was in good shape.
Fun round.
Thank you to Arcos & David L Baker
Only course open during these challenging times, Staff was great they were doing aeration on the greens at this time. Other than that it was a great day to play golf
Great Round, Happy Day
With the Covid-19 virus on our mind, everyone adhered to social distancing. Everyone was so happy to be outside, playing golf and enjoying something normal. The fairways were in good condition, greens recently aerated so very sandy. But I don’t think anyone was complaining. It was a perfect day, great pace of play.
First of all: my hat off to the staff for allowing me to enjoy a round with my boys during these chaotic times.
Unfortunately, when I booked, there's no mention of the sanding of the greens or multiple flag sticks placed short of the greens (in fairway) due to course work being done
This course was fun and has lots to offer!
After not being able to get in a round of golf for over a week, this was the perfect course to work on driving accuracy, chipping and putting. In the pro-shop, a friendly man named Ray checked us in and gave us an overview of the course. Since it was mid-week and there was a possibility of more rain, the course was not busy and the pace of place was good - we played all 18 in under 3 1/2 hours! The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in good condition. Our only complaint - several bunkers with lots of water from the rain.
Enjoy the challenge
Although this is an executive Course, it still have many challenges as a more longer courses.
Great place to play
Just a good spot.
My son and I play as much as we can
It's our go to spot.
This course is somewhat challenging.
We like this course because the yardage is just right for us seniors. Close to home. Friendly staffs.
