David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Had a great time!
We had a fabulous time playing this course. Everyone we encountered was abiding by the mask requirements, thankfully!! We never felt rushed and didn’t have anyone in front of us holding us back...quite unusual for a Sunday! Will definitely be back!
Fun Experience!
I've only been playing for a couple months and didn't expect the course to be this challenging. There are a lot of water traps and the bunkers are taken care of. Plenty of Par 4 where the driver is need, which makes for a balanced game of using more of your clubs. They have a number to call if you need any snacks or drinks while on the course which comes in handy. Overall, I had a lot of fun and I'll be coming back soon.
Diamond in the Rough
Second time playing here during Covid, and its a great challenging 18-hole par 3/4 course. Greens are tougher than they look.
Par-62 Short Length Course
Comparatively easy and short-length course. But be careful of incoming balls hit by the next group while putting on the green
Great fun course....
My home course... Great place... Staff is super friendly and helpful
I love this course!
The course can be busy and the course accommodates a variety of player skill levels. We got stuck behind some slow players and further down the course were cut off by some hole hoppers which slowed the round even more. Other than that, The course was great! Excellent greens and fairways upkeep and a somewhat challenging layout. I will definitely be golfing here again.
Nice breeze, course was not crowded.
Avoided all bunkers.... greens in good condition. fairway ok....
Most of the time we were moving.... a few short waits at the tees.
Great Value
This course is great to play no Par 5's so easy to walk and course is maintained really well.
Great day
Overall good time. The course is in good shape!! I’ll play it again soon
Diamond in the Rough
Truly a hidden gem!! I drove down from the South Bay Area, not knowing what to expect, and the round turned out to be great!! Perfect to work on the short & mid-range game!! Used driver once, just to get it out of my system, but not necessary. Anything between a 4-iron to a 7-iron sufficed on the longer par-4’s. I’ll definitely return here!!
Shake and Bake baby!
Fun little course. Great for practicing iron play. And these guys are the ones you want in your corner, while the whole world freaks out. They've maintained an excellent environment through out all of this craziness. I've been to many other courses where everyone seems on the verge on an aneurysm. Not Baker. Everybody be chillin'. Thanks Bake.
