David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Golfer Reviews
nice course
course was in pretty nice conditions, some holes were over watered but fairways and greens were in fairly good conditions. tees were pushed all the way forward which kind of sucked, made the course a lot shorter. but overall a fun experience.
Silver Star Jack
For anyone who needs to work on control with short game my only grief is early morning tees aren't set for the Silver, White, Blue and distance markers would be nice however with how short the course is make it not necessary if you can grip it and rip it.
Not Worth it
It’s about 30$ to golf but thats what you get. Very slow pace, tee offs all messed up and all tees moved up to shortest tee off, bumps and divots all over the green, geese poop everywhere. If it was 15$ I’d say its worth it.
Golf course is in bad condition
Is not worth 41 dollars for walking plus they are airing the golf course punching hols all over .
Some of the greens needed repairs. But met some great playing partners
i have always enjoyed playing DLB, although short, it always challenge your shots
Beginners etiquette
Greens get eaten up from beginner player etiquette. ( spike marks surrounding the hole) Causes perfect putts to veer in unexpected directions. Ton of players on the weekends. But overall a fun course.
Terrible greena
Greens were super slow and one had goose crap all over it. Another had geese that would not move!. Fairways had a lot of bare, hard pack. No rangers to help slow play. Have played course often and this was worst condition in months
I do not get it!
I had made a reservation on GolfNow for what I believed was 8:37 a.m. but it was for 5:37 a.m. I recognized the mistake the morning of and could not contact anyone at the course until after the tee time. At 5:37 a.m. it was very dark and there was no tee time available to be advertised. I was charged for the round of golf by David Baker without even being there and was told that I was out of luck and contact GolfNow for any issues I may have. This seems to be a very UNPROFESSIONAL resolution to my problem........ someone advertising and selling a product or service that is actually not available and being paid for it or taking payment without permission. I have been an OC resident all of my life and I will avoid this golf course for the rest of it. I worked hard for that $54.00.
