David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Great Course!
Played here for the first time yesterday...I will be back! Had a great round. Greens are phenomenal.
fun easy
fun easy course a lot of birdie attempts walking this course is easy
Good Practice
Par 62, Executive type course. Course layout is somewhat challenging, particularly with water holes. Windy conditions presented more of a challenge. Found that facility was a good place for practice, particularly for the short game. Good putting surfaces. Windy conditions that day effected some holes, but not too bad.
Appreciated starter desk in being flexible on getting our party out a little late (our fault).
First time through
The course was on relatively good condition given the lack of rain in Orange Co. Unfortunately, my game wasn't. ;-(
Perfect course for the not so serious!
If you just want to go out and have fun with no stress, then this is the course for you. You may be thinking you want a challenge? It's still golf. The challenge can still exist. The staff is really friendly too. This was only the 2nd time I had played there and the weather wasnt ideal. A little chilly and a lot of wind. Still had a great time and you can't beat th price.
Too much money for a goat track
We had a tee time from Golf Now at 10:36 on Saturday morning. We showed up early to sign in and were told they were 20 mins behind. No problem. We hit some balls and waited. We ate our breakfast and waited. Practiced putting and waited. Chipped and waited. There's a theme here. We didn't get to the tee box almost an hour later! All because if waiting on a golf cart to show up for us. Last time we'll do that!
Good for beginners
I usually play this course with my five year old son. The course is in good shape for the amount of play it sees and the green complexes are adequate. Tee boxes always seem chewed up when I have played and kind of sandy. I play to an 8 and this course is pretty simple but is good to work on iron play. My little boy loves this course as I'm sure many beginners do as well. I gave three stars because it is not great and it is not bad, it is just average. I love the lights and my only complaint would be all the drunks who play but I'm just being picky. I understand the drunks are just out to have a good time with the guys but they are slow and oblivious.
Good walking course
A good place to practice your short games, tee times are good on weekdays and could just walk in as a single or a pair of players.
Value plus fun
Great course for the money. Very friendly people in the shop. Play there a couple times a month. Some slow play from time to time. They have decent lights for night play just hit it straight, the fairways soak up the majority of light.
Very good value
With so many time demands it was nice to play in less than four hours.
great value through golf now
Course was in decent shape...good value... wasn't planning on a backed up tee box at 6:45 am....due to closing back nine for a shotgun start later....otherwise enjoyed the round...
Nice fast course
Quick play. Lots of par 3 and par 4 holes. Challenging greens.
David L Baker
Great course to play with the guys on a weekday after work. Great price for 18 holes and a cart. Only negative was they had a few lights that weren't working on a few holes that made it tough to see. Other then that it's a great course for the money.
Short bit fun course
The greens have always been horribly maintained here. If they were in good condition this course would be an excellent practice facility. The bunkers also had no sand so you can't really practice the bunker game here. Fairways are in nice shape and tee boxes were ok. Been going here for years and had my only hole in one at this course, so I will definitely be back. I just wish the greens rolled better. To fuzzy for my taste....i like 'em trimmed. ;-)
Busy in weekend
Too much people in weekends. And It is a short course feels like tight between different tee. You can enjoy the surrounding with ducks.
this course is good for older golfers like me
I play here once a week. I enjoy the moderate challenges and the people I meet, I do not have a regular 4 some.
Good deal
Not the regular price, but I got this executive course for $10.00 2 days in a row. Great course to work on your irons. Greens running slow, but generally in good condition.
gooood
small, but really good nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
