Bay View Golf Club

The track is very gimmicky and a few of the holes make you ask yourself “what the heck is goin on here?” It’s a fun place to just go and play but it’s truly nothing special. Especially when it’s overpriced 90% of the time. $90 for a morning tee time? Ridiculous. We also ended up waiting about 20-25 minutes at each hole for the groups ahead of us to play. Course Marshal drove by and said absolutely nothing to the guys in front of us 10 putting everything. Range is irons only so that can suck. Great pro shop, super friendly and helpful, the restaurant is delicious as well. It will never be worth paying $90 to play here when Spring Valley is 5 minutes away, always costs less, has a more fun track to play and rarely has pace of play issues.

I played this course a few times back when it was Tulercitos and then Summit Pointe. An acquaintance told me the course was in good shape and they redid all the greens. What he did not say was that all they did was replant grass on the same stupid unorthodox sloping idiot green layouts. They had the chance to do a lot of good things for the course and failed completely. I hit 13 of 14 fairways and ended up in the rough on all but 2 of them. That is a horrible design. Will Never play there again, even if it was FREE.

Great place to learn how to hit shots from every type of stance. This course is kept in much better condition than when it was called summit point.

The new carts have GPS which is great for giving you distances but they also keep you from driving on a lot of the course which can be a pain. The tee time prices are a bit too high.

I had booked a tee time through TeeOff at Wente Vinyards, good thing I looked at the reservation before driving out. I would not have selected Bay View, I do not like the cart monitoring policy they have; the carts stop in the middle of the fairways as restricted areas -- it's ridiculous. Please correct and book a round for me at the course I selected. I tried to call three times on the way to the course: (1) The operator said I did not have an account with TeeOff (2) the next try I was hung up on (3) the very next try I was hung up on. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Since new management took over bay view has improved so much. Greens are close to pure, fairways now have plenty green grass and all the tee boxes are level and clean. Their prime time rates are still a bit pricey but I believe in a year or so it will be plenty worth it. Practice area is great and allows grass tees on the weekends, no drivers but if you don’t hit too far they usually don’t mind.

My biggest issue is the the pace of play. The carts tell you the minutes you are behind. At one point we were 46 minutes behind pace and we did not see a marshal once.

This was a 5 hour round which is ridiculous considering many of the golfers were riding carts.

Good course, nice views, greens weren't in the best shape, place of play was pathetic.
