Bay View Golf Club

Our tee time was 1:00 pm. But we were put at 1:18 pm because they had to put a group of shot gun competitors from holes 1 to 9 at 1:00 and 1:09 pm in front of us. We complained but were told that we should book our tee time next time in the morning to avoid this situation. Does that means their afternoon tee times will not be honored? All those competitors were walking and very slow. We had to wait on every hole and most of the time every shot. The group behind us were so impatient that they kept hitting balls at us.. We ended up playing till it was almost no daylight.

They moved more than half of all the tee boxes (gold and silver tees) up 50 to 100 yards shorter than what are shown on the score card and the distances that are shown on every hole. Perhaps because of the tournament group in front of us to make it easier. But that meant we cannot post our NCGA scores which are not correct in accordance to their ratings.

We are not happy with Bay View at all.

The course is in okay shape, layout was bland. Several fairways had other players from adjacent holes hitting against our group slowing down pace of play. No Marshall in sight except an overzealous "groundskeeper Willi" that gave you death stares if the cart was anywhere near the gps boundary. That dude needs a hug.

Speaking of carts, I was not allowed to take the cart to my car and load my clubs but definitely could take my cart to the parking lot after the round and unload? Oh and if you ride alone, cart fee was an extra $20 total. Yeah miss me with that energy.

Course conditions are similar to my last review but fairways are starting to brown up and thin out a bit more and a couple of the greens have various sand areas where they have addressed some issues. Still a fun track to play

Greens on the front nine were slow. Back nine was much better rolling at a medium fast pace

Very challenging (for me), but a fun layout. Beautiful views of the south/east bay, hence the name: Bay View 😂. I will definitely be back —- awesome

Most of the hole are either going uphill or downhill. It is either the ball will lie either above or below feet. Greens are in excellent condition. Fairways are narrow and you need to bring extra golf balls.

This is my 3rd time playing Bay View. The track is really starting to grow on me with its variety of hole shapes and overall conditions. As mentioned before the course layout traversed a hill with several of the holes having steep sideways slope to the fairways.

Greens are receptive to approach shots and roll true. Bunkers are a little thin but very playable. Fairways have good coverage throughout. Some of the tee boxes are uneven

POP was horrible. There were 3-4 groups waiting up on the tee boxes to start. This was due to a Jr tournament taking longer than expected. It took over 3 hours to finish the front nine alone.

But moral of the story is don’t book a weekend afternoon round on the day of a a jr rournamenr.

Other than that the course is fun to play and has decent conditions
