Not worth the price to play here
For a $100-$110, Fairways are poorly kept. No one fixing divots on the greens. Staff is hit and miss. Pace of play can be ridiculous since tee times are so close together. Overall just not worth the money. We only golf here as a last resort.
Upland Hills Country Club Review – Disappointing Pace of Play
My experience at Upland Hills was extremely frustrating due to the lack of pace-of-play enforcement and what seemed like favoritism from the course staff. A slow group in front of us had at least two open holes ahead of them, creating a massive gap. When I called the marshal to address it, he instead came to me, claiming I was “hitting up” on them—despite my ball landing about 20 yards behind them. It was clear this was just an excuse to let them continue playing at their own pace without consequence.
After stopping my round and driving to the office, I passed by the group to confirm what I already suspected: hole 7 (a par 3) was completely empty, the tee box for hole 8 was also empty, and the group ahead of them was already on the green of hole 8. I took pictures of all of this as proof. This slow group started directly behind the group in front of them on hole 1, meaning the huge gap was entirely their doing. Even from the first hole, we saw them putting with no urgency, and it was obvious they were going to hold up the course. They acted like they knew they could take their time without repercussions—and they were right.
The starter was friendly, and while the manager wasn’t particularly warm about my complaint, he did provide a refund, which I appreciate. However, the way the marshal handled this situation—favoring the slow group and shifting blame onto me—made it clear that pace-of-play enforcement here is nonexistent if you’re not part of the “in” crowd. I won’t be coming back.
Price
The course was ok, but not worth the price. On the app it said less, was charged more.
Gouge course
Hundred bucks to play this course on a Saturday. We got to the 2nd hole and saw 4 guys on the tee box waiting to tee off and a line of 6 carts after them. Waited a solid 25 minutes to tee off. Was a complete disaster. Standing water and sizable stones in the bunkers. The pace of play was painfully slow. Took over 5 hours to finish. Fairways were gnarly and unkept.
I really wanted this place to work out. On its best day this course should charge $42 bucks. Not $100. No way. Off the list.
Fun course
It’s a fun course but the greens are not for the faint of heart they were fast and hard to read. Overall a decent course but no where near $100 worth maybe $65 and I’m not cheap by any means it’s just I play a lot nicer courses for less. If you need a tee time last minute and you can get one there take it.
Enjoyable round!
Course was in great condition, greens were fast but manageable. Played in a little over 3 hours so pace of play was good. Will definately return.
Good starter course
Fairways were dry due to overalll drought. Greens were in good shape and very putt-able
Very good pace of play We played within 4 hours.
Bad course
Bunkers full of rock . Employees working all around don’t respect noise all day. Duck poo every were . Some fairways so wet . For $100 is too much.for $50 is fine .
Nothing special
No driving range - no putting practice area & Gentleman working pro-shop had bad attitude because he was understaffed a complained about it openly lastly the carts would lock up on the cart paths randomly as if you were getting to close to green or OB areas
I will not be returning or recommending this track
Loved the round but Pro Shop staff 👎🏼
Always loved playing here. Never an issue. But Pro Shop attendant was very off that morning. Got mad because we didn't wait for a single that was added to our group. But we were never notified that another was supposed to tee off with us. We would've stayed as we get out with others often. He shut off our carts on the second fairway then left a menacing message on our screens "LEARN HOW TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!" "REPORT BACK TO MARSHALL IMMEDIATELY!" The Marshall was fine and patient but I could hear the pro shop attendant raising his voice on the radio getting mad at my group and the Marshall "for not doing his job." Not a good look for UHCC
Worthy of playing
I read some reviews before playing this course and was expecting bad greens and bad bunkers based on past reviews. The course is not hard to play and the bunkers and greens are very nice and true to quality golf. I’ll be back!
Waste of money!
Played in Fog so thick you couldn't see more than maybe 20 yards. There should have been so kind of weather delay. I might as well just taken $30 and thrown it in the Trash!
Chill Good Course
Good moderate difficulty course with easy rollin greens and foothills in the background. Check out 1906 after for food and drinks.
