About
Buenaventura Golf Course originally opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course but closed in 2004 for major renovations. The course's original designer, William Bell, was consulted for the redesign. It was transformed into a more challenging course, but the 1930s design features were carefully preserved. The parkland layout may seem short at just over 6,000 yards but like many of the courses from that era, length is not as important as strategy and course management. The strategically placed bunkers have classic shapes that blend seamlessly into the natural environment as though they were carved by the river. The bunkers combined with the fast, sloping greens make the golf course a shot-maker's paradise. One of Buenaventura's most memorable holes is the par-4 13th. It is one of Bell's original designs, an interesting risk-reward opportunity with water along the right.

Carts need to be replaced
All of seats on the carts are torn and are in need of repair
Most all of the windshields are broken and need to be replaced, New carts should be on this course.
We pay a premimum each and every time we play
so why can't the carts be replaced for new ones with lithium batteries ??????
Best greens around!
My son and I played Monday October 25th. The greens are fadt be receptive. Fairways in good shape. And we played in just under 4 hours. Great staff .. highly recommended.
Fantastic condition!
The turf conditions on this course are on par with very expensive Palm Springs or Las Vegas courses. Feels like you’re driving on carpeting. Yours irons will behave in ways you didn’t know they could.
Punched Greens
When booking on line with GolfNow app, there was no mentioned that the greens were punched and sandy.
Great course
Fairways are looking really nice and the greens are not fast or slow.
Great for the Money
Paid $25 including cart to play a course in such good condition, can't beat it. Play front 9 in 2 less than 2 hrs. Back 9 was a bit slow. Can't complain for the price we paid.
Wonderful!
First time golfer at this course and was pleasantly surprised. Amazing fairways, challenging greens, clean carts, and beautiful weather. What more can you ask for. Will be back!!
Great Friendly Staff
Great spot to play when it's hot inland and the staff we had was excellent. No range but the putting green is good. There is a sister course down the road if you want to warm up first, just get there plenty early if you decide to do that as we did. Course is in really good condition right now, and the greena are rolling solid and pretty pure.
I was 4 minutes late and they would not let me play!!!!!!!
Friendly staff , course in good condition
Staff in the pro shop was friendly & helpful. Pace of play backed up a couple of times on the back nine, but to be expected for the season & many out of towners escaping the heat! Course was in good condition. Fairways & greens are in good condition for the amount of play! Will definitely play again when in the area!
