About
Buenaventura Golf Course originally opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course but closed in 2004 for major renovations. The course's original designer, William Bell, was consulted for the redesign. It was transformed into a more challenging course, but the 1930s design features were carefully preserved. The parkland layout may seem short at just over 6,000 yards but like many of the courses from that era, length is not as important as strategy and course management. The strategically placed bunkers have classic shapes that blend seamlessly into the natural environment as though they were carved by the river. The bunkers combined with the fast, sloping greens make the golf course a shot-maker's paradise. One of Buenaventura's most memorable holes is the par-4 13th. It is one of Bell's original designs, an interesting risk-reward opportunity with water along the right.

Great day to play
Excellent tee time. 8:00 a.m.
It was overcast with a nice cool air., just how it supposed to be , playing by the cost.
Good day
Played on a Wednesday around noontime. Staff was very professional and friendly. Course was in very good condition. Pace of play was just average, we had a three some in front of us, one playing from blue, one from white and one from green. They did to much talking too. We had a little snack afterwards at the cafe. I wish Olivas Links would follow your lead with: better clubhouse, better restrooms and a cafe that actually serves food.
Great conditions
Cool weather and perfect greens, tees, and fairways make for a great day of golf. The 3 gentlemen I was paired with were friendly and hot from the whites. Love that. No need to make a round harder by adding yardage.
Love This Course
This course is always in great shape. My only complaint is the sand in the bunkers could be a little softer. But I guess that I need to stay out of the bunkers. The greens are always nice and soft, but I wish players would fix their ball marks. Great course to lower your handicap. The staff is so friendly and inviting.
