About
Buenaventura Golf Course originally opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course but closed in 2004 for major renovations. The course's original designer, William Bell, was consulted for the redesign. It was transformed into a more challenging course, but the 1930s design features were carefully preserved. The parkland layout may seem short at just over 6,000 yards but like many of the courses from that era, length is not as important as strategy and course management. The strategically placed bunkers have classic shapes that blend seamlessly into the natural environment as though they were carved by the river. The bunkers combined with the fast, sloping greens make the golf course a shot-maker's paradise. One of Buenaventura's most memorable holes is the par-4 13th. It is one of Bell's original designs, an interesting risk-reward opportunity with water along the right.

Nice course first time playing it paired up with another gentleman had a great time
Was paired with another group but other then that it was a good time
Can’t beat this place for the money.
Easy course, but it makes for fun play and a great round. Will definitely play here again.
Buena
Need to spread out tee times. Spent a lot of time on the tee box because of slow play.
Buena means good
Had a good round in the 70's...a little windy, but course, fairways and greens, were in good shape...not too crowded, so, not much waiting...enjoyable...
punched greens and really slow play
The greens were really bumpy, They had been punched on March 22nd, unfortunately they had not been rolled or re-sanded in my opinion. I totally understand the necessity of the aerification but I thought after a week they would have been in better shape. . I hope Buena will consider putting a players assistant on as I feel it would speed up play, We played behind 9 guys that were pretty old and it took forever to play the front 9 holes and they had a 5-some too. really poor !!!! I think there was atleast 2 holes open in front of them after 8 holes.
Relaxing Round
I had a tee time of 11:40. Arrived at 11:35 and walked directly to the tee box. Hooked up with another walker and we didn’t catch up to the group ahead of us until the 10th hole. The course is in great shape and it’s always good for your handicap. Mastering the breeze is always a challenge. This is a great course to walk!
Course replay
I had a 3:30 tee time. Showed up at 2:00. They got me right on with a twosome teeing off. Great course, good staff, challenging greens. Will be my go-to course coming back.
