Buenaventura Golf Course
About
Buenaventura Golf Course originally opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course but closed in 2004 for major renovations. The course's original designer, William Bell, was consulted for the redesign. It was transformed into a more challenging course, but the 1930s design features were carefully preserved. The parkland layout may seem short at just over 6,000 yards but like many of the courses from that era, length is not as important as strategy and course management. The strategically placed bunkers have classic shapes that blend seamlessly into the natural environment as though they were carved by the river. The bunkers combined with the fast, sloping greens make the golf course a shot-maker's paradise. One of Buenaventura's most memorable holes is the par-4 13th. It is one of Bell's original designs, an interesting risk-reward opportunity with water along the right.

Great course
The course was in an excellent condition. I recommend for any good golfer to play this great course
G golf
It’s a Shorter course captain in good condition.
Overall it’s a pretty good course you should play
Very forgiving , wide open fairways
Soooo
new golfer here and it was nice to only lose one ball during this game as opposed to an entire box at the other coarse's play at ... fairways are very wide, dont get me wrong , the coarse is challenging with lots of bunkers especially around green area and water haz. as well but overall a nice change of pace
Great Fairways
Fairways in great conditions. Greens and tee boxes both good also. Not the most variable 18 hole course, but some really challenging greens once you get around them!
Nice cool breeze
Course is in great condition, really enjoyed the cool ocean breeze
worth it
Course and pace are great! fairways and greens are super fun. Love the course.
some of the holes are not clearly marked but the place is currently one of my favorite courses
Fairways!
While the course is a little shorter then I’m used to, I absolutely love it because the fairways are still n such great condition. When I walk up them to my ball I feel like the pros look when I watch them on TV. My hats off to the grounds keeper!!
Great course, had a great time
The course is in the best condition ever.green fairways, green putting area.
Nice Shape, slightly too short to keep my interest
This is a nice course along the river - Neighbors with Los Olivas and River Ridge. Of the three this is in the best condition, but is also the easiest layout. For an average golfer or short hitter it is a fun layout with plenty of different challenges. For a low handicapper and/or long hitter you might get a little bored. I kept thinking my mom would love it here, but for me it wasn't quite challenging enough. The par fives are really par fours. Some of the par fours are really par threes. Bring your lob wedge. Pace of play was not great either, especially if you are waiting to get on the par 5s in 2 and to drive several of the par 4s.
Solid stuff
Fairways were fun and great length/wide. The greens were great challenge for any level golfer. #facts
Great maintenance!
Course was in superb condition. Greens rolled true, and fairways were immaculate. The rough and bunkers were also very well maintained. Front nine is a little short, but fun, and the wind definitely adds to the difficulty.
