About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Great weather, great golf
Olivas is a lot of fun to play. Good layout, true greens that putt fast. Weather is always a plus. Driving range , chipping and putting practice areas are on point. The only negative is lack of a clubhouse.

Awesome course played well, 640 tee time so it was a bit foggy the first 2 holes not too bad but will drive out an hour again to play

Links near Los Angeles
If you like links style courses this one is a gem and only an hour drive north of Los Angeles. The course is close to the ocean so you get a real links style experience with wind being a big factor in how each hole plays on the day. Course was in very good condition with healthy fairways and greens. Greens are large enough but have plenty of undulation so putting can be challenging. Fairwars are generous at times but shot selection is key. Driver is not always the best club from the tee unless you're feeling like gambling. Loved the course, was some of the most fun I have had playing around Los Angeles. Will definitely go back. On course facilities aren't anything special. Pro shop and restrooms are trailers but if you're there for the golf you won't be disappointed.
