About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Great course for beginners
First time here. Really liked the course’s layout, only been playing for 6 months and shot my lowest score ever. Loved the greens, really recommend it to anyone that’s a beginner or even experienced ones.
Olivas Links
Not really a "links" course as there a number of trees but definitely a nice course none the less. A great mix between having to put your ball in good positions from the tee and just bombing it out there. When not in the correct spot in the fairway or just off the edge, it can become a challenge. the wind definitely makes this course that much tougher
Practice putting green and chip/pitch area are fantastic, esp. in this pandemic when all others are closed. OL was a great course. Shot an 82

Had a great day, only been on this course 5 times in the past. A couple of Birdies, Eagle on 16 shot even par! I'm an average golfer, must been one of those days where the Golf gods shine on ya! Was usually 10 plus over par, decided to play smart used long Irons or 3 wood from most tees. A day to remember always!

Beautiful shape for mid January strong 7-8 on tee boxes fairways and greens.

The course is very well designed and greens are great
4.5 hr on a Saturday
While 4.5 hrs on a Saturday seems like a decent finish time the round could have been 15-30 minutes faster if Olivas would put out even just one marshal.
If you’re new to the course , be ready for some fun, ocean breeze , and a big wait at # 5 the first par 3.
Course in great shape for January. Love this course and staff ... please start a marshal program and you could increase play times by 20%.

Teed off at 1:15 and only finished 14 holes by 5 pm (dark). Too slow...too crowded...waiting to tee off on every hole and to to hit in every fairway and for every green...with a group behind us doing the same...staring us down...making the round uncomfortable... Not worth the aggravation. And a lot of players were quitting shortly after the turn...

Course is a true style links course. Awesome greens with lots of slopes. Amazing fairways you can run up and even putt off. Course was in great condition in "winter" and for Covid
