About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Get ya Links on
Course is a true style links course. Awesome greens with lots of slopes. Amazing fairways you can run up and even putt off. Course was in great condition in "winter" and for Covid
Course is in great condition. Difficult but still playable and fun.
good golfing
its tough to get tee times seem to be packed everywhere now, was able to get on with a friend of mine and got paired with 2 other friendly guys!
check in was quick and easy. friendly got a cart right away. seemed to be plenty .
A little windy and cool .. course seemed to be a little slow on pace we were backed up on a few tee boxes got to 17 at dark and played 18 in black to finish all in all nice course wouldnt mind. playing there again!
My Review
Olivas links is a fun course/ fair course for the money. Covid - seems to make the check I. Difficult though... if your round is payed for , the starter should check you in to avoid a line at the lame trailer they work out of ...

Vacation round
Played here years ago in a tournament with a friend who lives in Ventura. We won, but I wanted to play it with just my ball. Had the opportunity this week. Fantastic layout, fun course and fast greens. Wish this course was closer to my house, I'd play it a lot more.
Excellent condition
The course is in excellent condition. Highly recommend playing it, just be sure to hit the ball straight.
Really in good condition
this course is very well maintained, always cooler than the ones in LA County, a bargain to play, I always enjoy myself when I go to Olivas.
Great Course, Starter is a jerk
Can't say enough about this course. Great layout and condition. Really nice to come out to Oxnard when it's 100 degrees in the Valley and it's a perfect 78 at Olivas. Nice practice facility as well. It would be nice if they went ahead and built a real clubhouse though and the starter there is a huge jerk and really tries hard to ruin your day.
