About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Very well maintained
Vibrant fairways, semi-slow greens (no biggie), and perfectly soft sand. For the price it's tough to beat
Best Course in Ventura County
Honestly can’t beat it for the money. Tee boxes and fairways were absolutely pristine. Greens were true and quick for the most part. Challenging layout, always breezy. The greens have some challenging slopes where if you’re in the wrong part of the green, you can easily three putt. We had a huge group of juniors in front of us on our first nine so the pace was really slow, but we were all clear on the back. Can’t wait to come back and play it again.
Well maintained course
Olivas Links is a very well maintained golf course. The fairways and greens are in such good condition you wonder if they aren’t artificial. Highly recommend giving it a try.
Best thing around the town as far as condition of course. Buenaventura is equally well kept.

GREAT COURSE
Olivas links has a GREAT layout that is challenging but fun. The course is well maintained and the greens roll very well. I think the value is unmatched here. The check in procedures leave a little to be desired in the time of COVID-19 but it is understandable.

Always a great track!
I play Olivas often. It’s my dad’s favorite course. We love walking and this is the perfect track to walk. I am a fan of the layout as it’s challenging without it breaking your back if you’re a 15+ handicap. It’s always in great condition to me and the warm up/practice areas are a huge plus.
If you haven’t played this course...play it!

Greens and all conditions are in excellent shape.
Watch the wind in the afternoon. It is a one to two club wind and toughest holes are against.

Beautiful day, I've seen this course 3 times and had my poo handed to me! Played smart golf, enjoyed every hole in a light breeze,. 2 birdies and an eagle on #14 , ended up with even par 72! Tricky greens, lots of holes where ya should leave the driver in the bag and hit long iron or 3 wood. Great course, amazing play. YA GOTTA PLAY THIS COURSE.

This course is a beautiful experience. Layout is impeccable and the greenskeepers are nothing short of artists. Fairways are like plush carpets. Bring a friend!
Golf at it’s almost finest
What a great course! It’s well designed and very challenging. I would have been completely helpless if I wasn’t playing with a couple regulars who let me know the lay of the land for every hole. Can’t wait to come back and play again!
