About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Great Links Course... Bad Marshals
I love this course and play atleast once a month but if you get stuck behind a slow group drinking and hacking it in the weeds they will do nothing. Instead I’m told “there’s nowhere for them to go” yet the group in front of the hackers is almost always on the green or the next tee box.
Otherwise beautiful course with great greens. Good putting practice area and driving range.
This course is always on my list for the year and for good reason. It's usually in good shape and a very nice layout. This time was actually the exception in a good way. The course is in really good shape with the greens on the manageable/fast speed. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. It also helped that the weather despite the wind was beautiful. I almost booked for next week, but there are other courses waiting to be played. Have a good time.

Back nine deal for 25 bucks
This is my regular course and maybe should have known better than to play on fathers day as typically there is a lot of one time golfers for the year that go out on Fathers day or Thursday of Thanksgiving.
However, with the 25 bucks for back nine my brother and I signed up with an early morning tee time only to find utter chaos on the 10th tee box (a six-some and a threesome) and asked the starter if they were going to call names or what was the order...?
Reply- "no order just go wait in line."
The six-some let us go in front of them, the 3some was paint drying slow, pace of play needs to be monitored and then enforced!!
seriously, 4and 5 practice swings to only hit a 30 yard shank is too much to watch every shot for every hole!
Very enjoyable round...
Played as a single and finished in under 3 hours (started at 6 AM). Staff and patrons were very friendly and course is very nice and in great shape. Unbelievable value - definitely coming back!
Great shape and a challenge
Olivas is in great shape right now and the greens are fairly smooth and fast.
Pace is very good. A great place to play with challenging pins and great layout.
Twilight rate might be best in town
Stellar course. Always a great time. Conditions always in great shape.
Best place to play during summer time
If you haven’t played this course, treat yourself to a nice round of golf!
Walkable and Fun Upscale Public Links Course
Nice playable, fair, yet challenging enough track with multiple sets of tees. Very good fairway conditioning, and greens are coming along rapidly after aeration 10-11 days ago. In another week or two they will be outstanding.
The course is very walkable, I highly recommend it since sometimes the carts can be on the older and bit more rundown side.
The driving range is ‘hit off grass’ on the weekends, a plus in my book. 4/5 and recommended.
Great layout but need maintenance
They changed layout a lot. Very challenging. But need little better maintenance. If the wind picks up it would be very difficult golf course. For the first timer, it’s hard to aim fairways from tee because it’s flat and wide open. Once aeration is done, green Weill be nice. I love this course.
Good value
Always enjoy the course.
Pace of play would be helped with a marshal.
Food/beverage service is terrible.
