About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Seniors Tournament
Generally love this course. 20 degrees cooler than anywhere else. It's in excellent shape, the greens are rolling really well. But why have a Seniors tournament before 11:00 when they hit it 100 yards and it takes an inordinate amount of time to get to their ball. Made for a 5+ hour round.
Great Golf Course with Cool Breezes
Mostly flat, very fair and challenging from the Back Tees...but the Middle Tees or the Whites will also test the game. Friendly staff.
Links style suits me
The course layout was challenging and birdies were attainable if you kept it on the short stuff. The fairways and greens were well maintained. I got a great deal on golfnow and my playing partners were great.
Really enjoyed my round.
I have always enjoyed playing this course. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in very good shape. 4 sets of tees for all levels of play. Bring your wind clubs as you can expect some challenging shots. Enjoy!
Round took 5 hours and 40 min. No golf should take that long I don’t care if there is a tournament. Pace of play needs to be reinforced before your start to lose play because of it.
Course in great shape
Great course with excellent layout. Great pace today - sometimes it gets slow on weekends.
Sand is much more consistent and greens are rolling smooth and fair.
Pleasant and challenging.
The fairways and greens are in fabulous shape. The pace of play was very nice even though the course was fairly crowded for a Friday. There is a constant small head wind due to the ocean breeze but very manageable. Staff was very friendly but the clubhouse could definitely use an upgrade. There is only a small trailer with some snacks and drinks. Overall the course was a lot of fun to play and in great shape.
Great Course!
This is one of my favorite courses in the area. Challenging without making you feel like you need more lessons after the round. Course is always in good to great condition. Fun course. And a great walking course if you want the exercise. It’s pretty flat so you won’t exhaust yourself. I’ll continue to play here a dozen or more times a year.
Olivas with John B
Played with my son and wife at 3 different sets of tees. We were in carts but lots of walkers on the course. This facility has a driving range, sand trap area, practice putting green all in great shape. This course provides plenty of challenge to any level golfer especially when the wind is blowing and that’s often. Not unusual for gust to hit 15 mph. The back 9 by far is the most difficult with plenty of green side and fairway bunkers. I was at 38 on front nine and finished with 91 after two deep bunkers. Be prepared to be challenged.

One of the best quality courses in the tri-County.
Greens are as challenging as any pro -grade track.
Played this course since it opened, and hope to continue for years to come, if kept in similar condition.
Great shape
Played on Saturday, beautiful day, always a little windy sometimes 1 club sometimes 2.
Course is in fabulous shape, greens were fast and true, fairways and tee boxes were well manicured.
All in all one of the better tracks and Michelle is a doll.
