Edgewater Golf Club

It’s a little bit of a drive for most people, but Edgewater is well worth it. Nice layout and mix of holes. Some really challenging holes that play fine if you know where to hit it; they are putting in a new clubhouse and that should look great once done; The last par three is beautiful and challenging, par there is a good score. You have room to hit a lot of drivers but can lay back as well. Make sure you play different tees if you play more than once because you get some different looks and ways to play some of the holes.

Condition is very good and the people there are very nice. I’ve played there about ten times and the pace of play has been good.

I love this course. However on this particular day maintenance was either way behind schedule or just not caring about play. They were aerating greens and the back 9 was not ready. Holes not cut, greens not ready, etc.

Always enjoy playing Edgewater. Great layout and always challenging. Course conditions were awesome, almost perfect tee to green. Some upgrades to the driving range area and new civic center are underway. Lots of new homes going up.

The course is a little out of the way, but always worth the drive. If you’re in the Charlotte Metro or Columbia Metro area, put this course on your play list.

I enjoyed the course layout of Edgewater. It has some great water views. It is also a relatively wide open course. The only drawback is the greens weren’t in 5 star condition. They weren’t horrible but not stellar. Outside of that the course was great.

This is not my first time playing this course but it is my first time contemplating not coming back any time soon. The layout of the course is amazing and staff is great. The greens are a different story. When you pay the amount that you pay to play here you would think the greens and tee boxes would be in a lot better shape than these currently are. Very very disappointed in the conditions yesterday. The greens are beat up bad and it doesn't seem as if the course can get a handle on them. Only time will tell but I sure hope they can get things figured out. It would be a shame if they don't. Right now it doesn't make much sense to pay what they are asking for what you get.

Great layout and pace of play. Greens were in terrible condition. Tons of ball mark damage and some disease/weeds. Tee boxes sparse. Not the conditions they used to keep it in. Not worth the money or drive from Charlotte.

Thoroughly enjoyed our round. Love the course but greens need some TLC. Will come back.

Loved everything about the round we played at Edgewater! Course was in amazing condition and every hole was fun to play. Will definitely be back!

Awesome course, friendly staff! A lot of upgrades (new huge clubhouse, driving range, short game area) are being done. This place will be even better once complete.
