Premium Course
The course condition was perfect. The fairways are lush where you can take a nice divot. The greens are one of the best in the Richmond area. I love this course. I did not stop by the grill so I cannot make comments about the off course amenities.

The course was in great shape, several difficult pin locations.
Slow groups in front of us and no marshall out on the course

Course needs a little care in some spots but overall great shape tee to green. Always a good playing condition.

Always the greens were terrific. Fairways vg and tee boxes fair. Layout is challenging but ver fair. A great value.

Need a Marshall to
Help
Speed up play. Had 2-3 groups waiting at first 4 tee boxes before it got down to just one other group waiting . But then on the 10th there was a four group pile up because the two slower groups let one group ahead. Over 5 hours for a round is not good

Aerated greens, range being closed, and cart path only made for a crappy round…
Coming back to play Chesdin at the start of spring and it was a little disappointing to say the least. Range was “closed” but looked fairly dry. Not sure why they don’t implement mats as not having a warmup before a round really made things difficult for alot of folks including me.
Pace of play was a little slower than normal as the weather is starting to warm up a bit and a lot more people are starting to get back out. They did not have a Marshall out.
Also didn’t know the greens had been aerated which definitely had an effect on most putts. Not interested in coming back until the summer time when course conditions improve and the crowd dies down a bit.

Decent Course
Bunkers are more of a hard red sand (at least this time of year late Feb through March). Fairways aren’t bad - I’m sure in peak season they look a bit more green. Overall fun course. Staff is a mixed bag like anywhere, but pro shop staff have always been perfectly pleasant.
