About
Situated between Richmond and Williamsburg, the Club at Viniterra sprawls across abundantly wooded hills. There is no shortage of elevation changes on this Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead-designed golf course. There is a difference of as much as 70 feet from the tee to the green on most of the holes. When combined with the mature trees, the result is a tough layout that demands accuracy. Thankfully though, there are not many water hazards to contend with but there is strategically placed bunkering throughout. The golf course also provides a scenic round with working vineyards running alongside the lush fairways. In addition to being challenging, the Club at Viniterra prides itself on their environmentally sensitive practices. The golf course saves as much as 80 percent of the water used on traditional courses thanks to the use of a drought-resistant grass hybrid.

Wide open
Great course! They’ve had a lot of rain recently, so it has been a little soggy. Construction alongside a couple holes is a little distracting, but not bad. Fun course to play.
stunningly slow
The course was in great shape for early November, and the weather was ideal. The greens were receptive and consistent throughout. The course is big, playing long enough for my group from the fourth set of tees. I have little to complain about ... other than the foursome in front of us that refused to let our threesome play through any of the five times we arrived to the tee while they were still hitting their tee shots. That made for a needlessly long day for us and the four twosomes playing behind us. Perhaps membership comes with the privilege of making everyone else watch you putter around?
Reese Jones never disappoints
For mid November the course was outstanding. Greens night quite all the way back from aeration.
Great Views
The course was in excellent shape despite the rainy weather over the past few days. Some beautiful views and challenging holes. The hilly terrain would make walking difficult but the use of the land to establish a playable course was nice to see. Really had a good time and would love to play in the spring or summer when leaves are on the trees instead of the ground.
One of my favorites
This is the second time I’ve played this course. Most holes are wide open and accommodate my mystery drive. But, there are many challenging holes as well. Very enjoyable!
Perfect Day!
Beautiful course, beautiful day! This course is well maintained and groomed. Lots of leaves on this fall day, but the maintenance team did a great job blowing them off the fairways and greens. Definitely recommend!
Worth th drive from Williamsburg
Played this course before COVID for the first time. Could not wait to come back and play it again. As nice as we remember. Great course for us mid range handicappers. Well laid out. Only problem was that greens had been aerated and sanded. Made putting a little difficult at times. Otherwise, excellent condition. Will return every time we are in the area.

We knew before playing that greens had bee aerated and sanded so knew they would be difficult - and they were!

Love this course and it is in great shape. The greens were quite speedy. Bought the Associate Membership Card too - fabulous deal!
