About
Situated between Richmond and Williamsburg, the Club at Viniterra sprawls across abundantly wooded hills. There is no shortage of elevation changes on this Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead-designed golf course. There is a difference of as much as 70 feet from the tee to the green on most of the holes. When combined with the mature trees, the result is a tough layout that demands accuracy. Thankfully though, there are not many water hazards to contend with but there is strategically placed bunkering throughout. The golf course also provides a scenic round with working vineyards running alongside the lush fairways. In addition to being challenging, the Club at Viniterra prides itself on their environmentally sensitive practices. The golf course saves as much as 80 percent of the water used on traditional courses thanks to the use of a drought-resistant grass hybrid.

This course is great for the price
Played 18 holes for 41 dollars on golfnow which was a great deal for this course. Everything was in great condition. Such a fun but difficult course. Wasn’t wet at all practically and everything is well kept.
Winterterra
This course plays great even in the middle of January. Course wasn’t muddy or patchy in the slightest. Greens were decent and layout is awesome. Will definitely be returning soon for a Hot Deal.
Great Course
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. Easy drive from downtown Richmond. The HotDeal price is a steal for the value! Would highly recommend.
Great , challenging course.
Tough course. Mid to back tees are a bear. Greens in good shape and hard to read, challenging. True test of golf. Conditions for December are good. Play it.
November golf
Took advantage of a beautiful weather day in late November to play golf and The Club at Viniterra was in excellent condition! Fun and challenging for all in our group.
Ugh
Unbelievably slow. Got so bad at one point we called the pro shop to have them send out a ranger. Ranger came, pace stayed the same. Took nearly 3 hours to play the front nine. Yes, the front nine. Will stay away from this one for a while.
Nice Course
If you are playing during daylight savings time, make sure to get a morning tee time. I had a 12:50, and with no on course marshall, ended up after 6 holes paying up with a 2 some, and then we paired up with another 2 some. Pace of play was SLOW. I hit my last 3 shots in the dark, just to get my 18 in. Given it was cart path only, tee times, etc. should be consistent with conditions.
I've played here a few times, and for the price, even with Golf Now "Hot Deal", there are many other options that are better in the Richmond to Williamsburg area.
To be honest, this was my last time playing this course.

Hidden gem. In excellent condition. Course design is really special. Very tough challenge. (Not walkable)
Still my favorite of Williamsburg trips
Always enjoy the challenge of playing Viniterra...wide fairways, true rolling greens, and plenty of risk-reward opportunities. And good value for the money!
Viniterra in the Rain
It was raining, only group on the course. Greens were in much better shape the previous rounds and rolled well but very slow due to rain, also still showing some sign of aeration, course in general was in good shape. Bermuda rough hid balls exceptionally well plus fall leaves.. As long as the price does not keep going up i'll keep playing here. Great course.

5 stars if not aerating. Playable at discount price, not great roll on most green do to recent upkeep.
