About
Situated between Richmond and Williamsburg, the Club at Viniterra sprawls across abundantly wooded hills. There is no shortage of elevation changes on this Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead-designed golf course. There is a difference of as much as 70 feet from the tee to the green on most of the holes. When combined with the mature trees, the result is a tough layout that demands accuracy. Thankfully though, there are not many water hazards to contend with but there is strategically placed bunkering throughout. The golf course also provides a scenic round with working vineyards running alongside the lush fairways. In addition to being challenging, the Club at Viniterra prides itself on their environmentally sensitive practices. The golf course saves as much as 80 percent of the water used on traditional courses thanks to the use of a drought-resistant grass hybrid.

Very nice track
Nice challenging course, looking forward to my return. Course was in great shape even with the hot and humid conditions.
Always A Solid Option
The Club at Viniterra consistently provides a great golfing experience for golfers of all skill levels at a price that is tough to beat.
I've played here many times and each time I come back I'm reminded why I enjoy playing here. The Rees Jones design catches your eye as well while your brain works hard to figure out how best to play each shot. With beautiful bunkering and some unique angles, the course offers a real challenge that's rewarding to complete.
Despite the recent hot and dry weather, the course is in great shape and plays very fairly.
Mornings and late afternoons can be quite busy and a little slow here but right now in the midday heat you can pretty much have the course to yourself as my group did. The added serenity from the holes being secluded from each other only adds to the experience.
I look forward to coming back and playing here again soon, the course and the deals on GolfNow are too tempting not to!

Beautiful Layout; Combo Tees for White/Green?
1st time playing and we loved the layout. Greens were a little slow but maybe with the heat they didn't want to lose them. We'll definitely be back. One recommendation - white tees are 6100 & green tees are 6700. Has there been a thought of having a combo tee with the white & green? For us 6100 was a little short but 6700 is too long.

Really nice course with a great layout. Plays long with plenty of elevation. Staff is terrific!
Golf 8 trip to Williamsburg
We played this course last year and had a good memory of it. So, our group of 4 couples wanted to go back so I booked tee times for our last day of the trip on the way back to Northern VA. 4 ladies and 4 guys played and did match play. The course was in good condition and enjoyed the game. We also had early dinner at the club house outdoor tables before heading home. With Covid-19, the group didn't want to eat in so a lady at the club house restaurant set up a table for 8 on the club house deck. The food was good and service was excellent as well.
We will definitely play here again.

Excellent course dramatic elevation changes ang tough greens make it challenging course.
Hidden Gem
I have added this course as a favorite for future visits to the Richmond/Williamsburg area. The course was in great shape. Multiple teeboxes for all types of golfers. The landing areas off the tees were wide and ample enough to avoid the fairway bunkers. The approach shots were challenging as the greens were heavily guarded by bunkers. Course management is a must! Putts rolled well. Not busy the day I played so I played two balls and shot 80 from the white tees and 75 from the gold tees.
Great golf course!
I love this course. It is very well maintained and the staff is friendly. The only knock this time was the beverage cart quit in mid afternoon and it was 96 degrees out and NO drinking water on the course - not smart.
Must play course
If you ever get the chance to play here, DO IT!!!! Beautiful course, friendly staff!!!!
