The Club At Viniterra
About
Situated between Richmond and Williamsburg, the Club at Viniterra sprawls across abundantly wooded hills. There is no shortage of elevation changes on this Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead-designed golf course. There is a difference of as much as 70 feet from the tee to the green on most of the holes. When combined with the mature trees, the result is a tough layout that demands accuracy. Thankfully though, there are not many water hazards to contend with but there is strategically placed bunkering throughout. The golf course also provides a scenic round with working vineyards running alongside the lush fairways. In addition to being challenging, the Club at Viniterra prides itself on their environmentally sensitive practices. The golf course saves as much as 80 percent of the water used on traditional courses thanks to the use of a drought-resistant grass hybrid.

Golfer Reviews
Excellent but tricky tree-lined course
Lovely course with mostly tree lined fairways and a lot of eevated greens. Challenging layout and quick undulating greens
Greens in good condition, bunkers excellent
Would recommend highly
Great routing but unfortunately cart path only the day we played.
Seriously great golf course and clearly designed with care.
Nice but overpriced
Nice course and glad I played when the course was in their winter rates. I still feel like I paid too much though for the course. But I would have been extremely upset if I paid the regular price.
Friendly staff
It was cart path only, so it took a little longer to play. Greens in great shape. Looking forward to playing again at this course.
Not worth the money
The greens were being worked, putting was horrible. Typically a course will let you know in advance and offer a discount. I paid a lot of money for 3 to play. Took us over five hours, no one is monitoring course play. I will never waste my money here again.
Good experience
Greens had been recently punched but were recovering so a little hard and bumpy but not the worse.
Ok
The course is ok. The greens needs a couple more weeks to be better.
Good mid week escape
This course played fairly well with a mixture of open par 5's and target par 3s. Pace during the week ensure a relaxing time. The staff was great. The only negative is the greens were being sanded which made putting challenging.
