About
Situated between Richmond and Williamsburg, the Club at Viniterra sprawls across abundantly wooded hills. There is no shortage of elevation changes on this Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead-designed golf course. There is a difference of as much as 70 feet from the tee to the green on most of the holes. When combined with the mature trees, the result is a tough layout that demands accuracy. Thankfully though, there are not many water hazards to contend with but there is strategically placed bunkering throughout. The golf course also provides a scenic round with working vineyards running alongside the lush fairways. In addition to being challenging, the Club at Viniterra prides itself on their environmentally sensitive practices. The golf course saves as much as 80 percent of the water used on traditional courses thanks to the use of a drought-resistant grass hybrid.

Almost a Summer Day at Vineterra!
Real nice golf course. Very spacious. Lots of bunkers and par 3’s were very challenging. Highly recommend!

Would like to play it with less wind and better course conditions.

Exceptional Service
First round of our weeklong golf trip. The service, from checking to starter to Marshall was first rate. It’s a fun, challenging course that we certainly plan to play again. Especially Kenny G, who tamed the course with a 5 birdie performance.
Two Thumbs Up
Played this course for the first time a couple months ago. I came back and will continue to do so. Nice layout, good shape, good value and a nice staff. Pace of play was a lil slow this time but that's because it was a beautiful day and lots of people wanted to play.
Depending on the tee selection, this course can play brutally long. But it’s a great course for any player. The staff was quite friendly and the challenge this course provides is awesome.
March Madness Review
Course was in great condition for March. Pace of play was good for a weekend. Staff was friendly from the starter, to the pro shop to the ladies at the grill. I will be back.

Challenging but fun
First time playing the course. The course was in pretty good shape. Some of the greens had been lightly aerated. The Bermuda grass was still brown yet. Played from the white tees (6279). It was fun, but one of the most difficult courses I have played. If sand is not your friend you will find this course tough. The greens rolled good, but they had all kinds of undulations. Would definitely play this again.
Excellent Course and Staff
If you are anywhere near this area, do yourself a favor and hit this course! Layout, conditions, and staff are excellent.
Beautiful Course
A beautiful course laid out nicely! Very well spread out lots of hills and sand bunkers around the greens make it a challenging course
Pro style course
Absolutely loved everything about this course! It’s long! Greens are super fast and well guarded. Not over developed at this time so very scenic
Hidden Gem!
Viniterra is a great track for anyone in the Richmond area. The layout is challenging but fair. Conditions are usually very good and the price is well worth it. Highly recommend!
Great Course with NO PARKING
Great course with a very challenging layout. There is absolutely no parking at this course. I find it almost annoying they would use up all that land to build such a nice course and not make enough parking spots to accommodate the guest. I love this course but be sure to drive the smallest car you have
Rees Jones masterpiece
Great course, weaving through the woods on many holes. Excellent condition for March, dormant Bermuda coming back nicely in spots. Long course from tips 7500 so pick your tees accordingly!
