About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole layout that has hosted the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments as well as numerous other events since it first opened in 1928. The course is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Players, and Baer. Each course has a different character but one characteristic they all have is the undulating terrain. All three golf courses also boast well manicured tees, greens, and fairways. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Tournament/Players course features the most water of the three combinations. The par-4 fifth hole on the Tournament nine has a particularly tricky forced carry over a large pond. In addition to the golf courses, Schaumburg has a practice facility that includes a driving range and two putting greens.

Consistently good
Great condition, always on pace thanks to rangers that are actively working. Price is a bit steep for 9 holes, but love the 27 hole variety.
This court is a great course for the price
This course is a great course for the price it has a great layout. It isn’t to small that you can’t use your driver, and it’s well planned out. The staff could be a bit nicer because if you are even 2 minutes late to the tee box, they will yell at you to speed up. Overall it’s nice but it’s staff could calm down a bit.
Potato Chip Greens
Not only are the greens fast, several greens feel like you are putting on a wavy potato chip.
Otherwise, the course was in excellent shape from the tee to green.
Difficult
Course was in very good shape and thus I recommend playing there. However, if you are over a 10 or so handicap, you will likely find this course too tough. For some reason, the pin placements and the green speeds are such that they think they are hosting a pro tournament there. Very frustrating round for me.
Great conditions
I play a lot of golf (over 120 rounds a year) in several states and as far as condition on a course goes this is top notch
Greens were excellent and speedy
Bunkers had right amount of sand
Fairways very good
Impressive tee boxes - they are level!!
Range is ok an generally on mats
Layout , 3 nines .
Pace of play here is 4-4:30
Our foursome plays a lot of golf and all of us were impressed with the conditions
Best in area
This course is consistently the most well conditioned public course in northwest suburbs. It's a beautiful layout that's challenging but playable for most players. If you have friends in from out of town and want to take them to a great course that's reasonably priced, this is where you take them
One of my favorites
Generally love this course but foursome in front of us was slow and we waited quite a while on each hole. Extra cost to ride as a single does not seem necessary --- already paying a hefty fee to ride.

This was my first time playing this course. I’m an experienced player that likes to play a lot of different courses. Happily impressed about everything. I definitely will play the course again!!!
Mismanagement
On 7/3/2025 booked a tee time for nine holes with a cart, when I arrived to the course I was informed that i would be sharing a cart with another golfer. I was a little surprised that I needed to share a cart due to an event that was going on. I feel this should have been communicated before hand and the golf course needed to adjust their timing accordingly for this event.
