Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Players Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole layout that has hosted the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments as well as numerous other events since it first opened in 1928. The course is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Players, and Baer. Each course has a different character but one characteristic they all have is the undulating terrain. All three golf courses also boast well manicured tees, greens, and fairways. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Tournament/Players course features the most water of the three combinations. The par-4 fifth hole on the Tournament nine has a particularly tricky forced carry over a large pond. In addition to the golf courses, Schaumburg has a practice facility that includes a driving range and two putting greens.

Top Notch Golf Course
Overall experience is excellent as usual at Schaumburg Golf Club
Good for the area
Mostly in good condition. Greens a bit beat up but there was just an outing just got off the course.
Layout and value similar to other options in the area
Beat greens in the area
The course is in great shape. Nice soft sand in the traps, and IMO, the best greens in the suburbs.
Nice Round
This was a very surprising round. The course is in very good condition. It's a solid layout for a public course. Also the 3 nine hole option with the potential for variety in the 18 is novel. I would come back.
Beautiful Course
The course is pristine besides a few bumpy greens. Restaurant on site makes high quality food at reasonable prices
Nice track
Schaumburg golf course has always been a good place to play no it’s a great place to place and they renovated 039 I love playing there I just was Wish the senior rate was a little bit lower in price
Rain
It rained. I had to cancel and getting a refund is not possible. Tee Off and Golf Now are getting worse every year.
One of the better reasonably priced courses in the W/NW burbs
Nice course. Well maintained. Good value. Can usually get out with 1-2 days notice, even on a weekend or holiday. Hard not to like all of that.
My home course
I consider Schaumburg GC as my home course, been playing here for years. It is a source of pride for me when I bring my golfing buddies and they are amazed at the speed of the greens and the quality bunkers (with real sand consistent throughout the course). They also comment how manicured the course is. I personally love the speed of the greens, they roll consitently true from green to green. Schaumburg GC allows Golfnow so my friends can get reasonable rates and enjoy the course also. My go to course!!!
Great course
This is a great course but I think a little overpriced. The course is well maintained but lots of divot damage on greens cause no one fixes their divot marks.
My favorite course in the area
Beautiful course, very well maintained. Fair difficulty, with a balanced range of distances needed. Range balls are fairly priced, practice green is large and well maintained (although you cant chip). Rough is thick but fair. Greens are fast and difficult, hole placements are changed often and gives the course a fresh feel. I’ve golfed here about 4-5x in the last few weeks and it has been the same 18 every time (Tournament front 9 and Player’s back 9). Would like to try the Baer on the back 9, hopefully it will be put into play soon. Staff is hit or miss, some are friendly and some are rude. Overall, this is one of my favorite courses in the area and will definitely keep returning. Pace of play can be incredibly slow during the week - there’s lots of high handicap old men slowing it down. However, there are rangers patrolling and keeping an eye on things. Expect to take about 4-4.5 hours for 18, even with cart.
Very Nice course however green we’re way too fast I average 28 puts and today I putted average 44 maybe it’s time to put some Attention to the keep greens better I should not have to fix divots for 2 minutes before I can use them What it cost to golf and the Twenty dollars per person to use a golf cart. The did have gps was nice However people have apps for that The one thing I like is that the cart stops around the greens Push people that are golfing to buy a ball repair tool. Your course can’t do all the work I loved the layout and I have no problem paying more money for a course but the greens got to be good
