Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Players Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole layout that has hosted the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments as well as numerous other events since it first opened in 1928. The course is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Players, and Baer. Each course has a different character but one characteristic they all have is the undulating terrain. All three golf courses also boast well manicured tees, greens, and fairways. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Tournament/Players course features the most water of the three combinations. The par-4 fifth hole on the Tournament nine has a particularly tricky forced carry over a large pond. In addition to the golf courses, Schaumburg has a practice facility that includes a driving range and two putting greens.

Course in great shape
Kudos to the maintenance staff. The course has been in great shape all year.
Great course, but pace of play not monitored until too late
Love the layout and challenge. We did see a ranger after crawling around the first 9, requested a little help with the group in front of us (3 empty holes ahead of them). By second 9, 7th hole, they finally stepped up the pace. So my only request is please be attentive, rangers, and provide an enjoyable 4hr round of golf...not 5hrs.
I'll be back
First time playing. Went from Players to BAER.
Greens on Player seemed larger, were faster. Baer required better angles to come into the greens.
Both courses were in excellent condition. Fairways well maintained with challenging but not overly penal rough.
Greens rolled true on both courses.
Overall the facility is really well maintained with a staff that is very welcoming.
Looking forward to returning and getting to play Tournament 9.
Great course - great value
Excellent course conditions. Love the newer layout and bunker improvements. Great staff. Pace of play was very good. I’m coming back on Friday!
Great Public Course
