Bedale Golf Club

A great deal from the golf now app. The course has a great layout and is testing. While it feels as though a good score is possible you find yourself caught out by missing fairways. This put you in the recently cut rough which was just long enough to make it difficult to find your ball as well as hiding it under grass cuttings -stay on the short stuff :). Covid control was spot on and the people in the clubhouse we’re really helpful.

Played Close house Monday £100.00 a round . This was on a saver of £14.00 and to be honest it was a lot better. The course is well laid out and the greens were the best played this year. Pro shop helpful and well stocked.

We play here all year round as we mice from course to course but the key features are an interesting course, friendliness, bar service / food is generally excellent tho limited at the moment due to COVID and good value for money. The course condition today was just great

Good tees and course condition, greens good and took break. Very busy, so not a fast round and a few of the tees are quite a walk from the last green, a couple have to cross other fairways.

Got paired with two strangers during covid want ideal but it's golf now not the course fault, when we headed to tea of golf shop pro said we were not to tea off as our time was 920 when we informed him was oy goin to watch the first tee he sti said we were not aloud as out time was 920. If staff attitude improved would definitely be back course beautiful and value for money

Super day on an excellent course.... greens excellent for the time of year. A little bit of criss-crossing with the need for some additional signage to avoid unnecessary delays.

The first 9 took 2 1/2 hours.... painfully slow! Second 9 just over 2 hours with all the par 3's included.

Overall a good day's golf.

After a wet weekend, the course had drained very well and was in good condition. The greens were excellent and very fast. After catching up with a foursome, we were let through and had no other holdups on the course. My only slight gripe is the course layout, it doesn't flow very well and the location of the next tee isn't always very obvious.

This didn't stop us having an enjoyable game.

Played on a hot deal. Very nice layout, quite a challenge in positioning tee shots to open up the green. Was in good condition, will definitely play again.

We played Bedale and the course played really well even though there had been heavy rain. The course was busy but as we were in buggies they allowed us to pass through All staff were friendly as were other players I would definitely return.

Got this for 15 quid on golf now. A bargain at this price the course is in good could condition and a good variation in challenges on the holes. Spoke to a couple of the of the members that have worked really hard to to get it back open.

Honestly a little gem . Each hole has its difficulty and is individual in its layout. For me it is a perfect golf course for 10 handicap and above. The challenge is fair. I will definitely be back.

By the way Bedale high street is worth a visit. We had are breakfast there before playing golf. The North End Cafe 5*

Three of us traveled for an hour to get there and there were no toilet facilities till the bar opened at 11 due to covid restrictions. A problem if you teed off at 10.30. This made one of our group uncomfortable for the round. There was a shortage of scorecards and we were given one between three. The greens were smooth and the fairways well maintained. If you missed a green narrowly you were punished with thick semi rough. Likewise thick semi just off the fairway which made ball finding difficult at times. The members who manned the bar were extremely welcoming. A good test of golf and very interesting course which is well worth visiting.

Lovely, challenging course. Greens and fairways were excellent.

Shame about the 4 ball of geriatrics holding the pace of play up.

Other than that, a brilliant round.
