Winter Tees and Greens
I appreciate Feb must be hard to keep course looking good, but with nearly all winter tees and all winter greens itgere must be 1-1500 yards lost from the course distance….disappointed this wasn’t raised upon booking……that said, greens look immaculate and fairways are in good condition
Winter Golf
The course was in excellent condition considering we are still in the winter. The greens were superb, the fairways were very good and the winter tee boxes were the best that I have played on. I would definitely recommend this course.
An unexpected game in January
I booked this for a friend and myself as the weather was looking unexpectedly good for the time of year. On arrival the Pro shop was closed so never saw or spoke to anyone. We just went out at our tee time and carried on. Tees were raised boxes, which I'm not a fan of, but full greens which was unexpected for the time of year and the course was in good condition. Enjoyed the game and also a drink in the clubhouse. As usual pleasent surroundings and staff.
No winter greens
Booked this course after playing Darlington a few days before an there was no comparison . This was the far better course as Darlington had 10 holes on the worst winter greens ever so well done for making my day and having the greens in play
What a difference!
It’s been many years since I’ve played. The investment both on and off the course is clear to see. I’ll be back again soon!
Good layout, excellent condition, not overly long, generous fairways, semi rough sensibly short, easy walking with gentle undulations, excellent greens, a perfect course for all middle rank club golfers.

Never fails to live up to a great course some great holes greens par 3’s well bunker protected brill.
Long time since I played.
It's been a lot of years since I've played this course certainly the 1st time since been taken over by Blackwell Grange and to be honest I was impressed with the whole place in general the pro shop, driving range, clubhouse the staff were all very polite and helpful, the course itself was in wonderful condition except THE Greens which had recently been hollow tined and obviously not at their best but I will go back another day certainly.
