Bolton Golf Club

I have played Bolton before and not been disappointed - but that was in spring/summer. This club really ensures the course is playable as often as possible - even when we have had the excessive rainfall of recent weeks. The winter tees were well sited and all the greens were in play and in good condition. Yes, there was water on parts of the fairways but if one looked where one walked - no problem. I played one of my best rounds ever yesterday and I will certainly return.

Course and welcome fantastic. Would recommend anytime did not use facilities due to comitments

The course was very well presented and the staff very helpful and friendly!! We were kept informed of or tee time as is was altered due to a stop in play for thunder.

Would recommend this course but be prepared for a good walk !!

This is the third year we have played here always a pleasant experience very friendly members and staff very well looked after course fantastic greens would highly recommend

Bolton is a very nice course and the staff, especially in the pro shop, were great but unfortunately the greens look in a bad way. Despite this they still ran well tho. Overall a good venue just in need of some tlc

Course was in excellent condition. Greens were very good and lighting fast. Was a bit frustrating that a lot of the fairways were sloped and it was hard to stay on the fairways even with good drives off the tee. Would say you have to be playing well or you will find yourself playing out of the rough most of the round.

Excellent well maintained course. Very quiet on days when members do not have competitions - worth checking for those days.

Great course, wide fairways and receptive greens. Was a little wet underfoot but due to heavy rain in the two days before playing. Couple of holes had been shortened due to weather but did not detract from the round. Greens in excellent condition with some challenging pin placements.

Great practice facilities including two chipping greens, Clubhouse staff great and members happy to chat with you. Pro's shop welcoming and well stocked. Would recommend to anyone and believe a new flexible membership is to be introduced, ideal for me.

Enjoyed playing course but was very wet. I think green fee too high for time of year and considering course had 3 holes reduced from par 4s to par 3 s . Would like to play again in better weather conditions . Still enjoyed course and would play again . Has some good holes but as I said to fully appreciate course it needs playing in dryer conditions with all holes fully useable .

On a very grey, damp day the course played well, as long as we stayed on the fairways. A fairly open course, so we didn't have to be very accurate. Pro was very helpful and friendly and the four lads that were due to tee off before us, said you go first as we were only a two. Very friendly. We would both go back to play again in good weather.

Course was in excellent condition especially due to the time of year and poor weather
