Great course
Really enjoyed the course tough but fair and has held up great after all the rain we had
Great course
This is the second time I have played this course and will not be the last, the greens and fairways are in good condition , well worth a visit and value for money.
Brookdale Golf Course
Great course with some challenging holes. Course is in excellent condition even with all the rain we have had. Love playing here. Hole 11 here, not a bad first shot!!
Locked in golf club
Treated my dad on Father’s Day for a round of golf at Brookdale, played a few times before, course was brilliant overall apart from some boggy areas throughout but was expected due to the rain we’ve had.
However we actually got locked in the golf course as when we’d finished at around 7pm (Tee’d off at 3pm) and were unable to leave in our vehicle due to the gate being locked! Unbelievable.. we tried calling the golf club/security but no help at all! Luckily we got hold of the golf pro through messaging on social media but who gave us the code for the combination lock on the gate. Absolutely awful.. but it ruined our evening plans as it took us a while for us to get out! England were playing @8pm in the Euro’s so I guess they locked up early! Terrible.. really annoyed.
Brookdale - Hidden Gem
Great golf course, a few blind shots to make it interesting. Course was in great condition and the greens true. Stunning views over Manchester we will be going back
First time playing Brookdale
A lovely setting in ideal conditions, Brookdale is a great course. I suppose that because I played fairly well, this enhanced my enjoyment - but nevertheless, it's a great course.
A mixture of picturesque, challenging but also makeable pars; this was a terrific first time experience playing here. It was also the first round of the season - so doubly-delighted that I found a suitable course which met my needs.
I'll be back again soon!
Regretted this booking
Course was in terrible condition and I personally think it should have been closed. Practice facilities were pretty poor. Somehow managed to lose balls on fairways as they would just plug in the ground. The layout was extremely odd, with one tee box playing over a green. Would not play here again
Winter Golf
The course was open but holes 3, 4 and 16 were closed & 17th Green was not playable, this was due to wet weather in previous weeks, that said it was great to get out and play and pretty sure most courses will be in the same situation after the rain we've had, good clubhouse with a kitchen supplying good food and the hot drinks were welcome when we went in after our round, we got a great price with the golf now hot deal and would go back and play the course again, enjoyable day
Strange Layout
Not a course I enjoyed. There are a few tees where you're hitting over other tee boxes. A few other holes require you hitting blind over a brow or have a very tiny target to hit. The course was very wet too but understandable given the recent weather we've had.
Great coarse
Great day out really enjoyed the coarse nice wide fairways on most holes lots of different holes ,coarse was in great condition fairways well cut and greens brilliant. Never played this coarse before will definitely play it again.Found it easy to find next tee except for sixteenth but we was told about it in pro shop as we started but still got a little lost . All three of us who played enjoyed this coarse , we’ve played lots of courses around Lancashire and I would definitely recommend this one .
Lots of interesting holes
Loads of memorable holes and a bit of local knowledge would certainly improve your score. Tough on the legs as lots of up and down hills. Only negative was clubhouse being shut at 6:30 when we came off but car park was almost empty. Found a nice pub in the local Woodhouses village.
For a club to lock up with guests playing a round is as ungentlemanly as it gets. Golf clubs resisted giving access to non members. To lock there guest's in speaks unholy volumes. Some courses welcome you heartily, warning you about the creek on hole 9, they wish you luck. Some lock you in.....
