Great course!
A lovely parkland course, with some difficult holes, great condition.
Course was in a great condition played well and to top it off I had a Eagle on 10 from about 155. Great day can't wait to get back
Chapel en le frith must play
Lovely course with challenging par 4s and par 3s
Couldn’t fault the course at all, greens in great condition and good speed, a must play
Highly recommend
The course itself is absolutely immaculate and they've done an incredible job with it. It was my first time around and one of the members of staff recognised that from the outset and pointed me in the right direction, he was very friendly.
Cannot wait to go again (and maybe play a little bit better)
Nice course.
When we played the course it was saturated in places due to the recent rain, but in the whole the fairway and first cuts were well manicured and very playable and the greens were in excellent condition, as a course layout the fairways were quite generous with a couple of quirky holes, I would say this course is ideal for high to mid handicappers but low handicappers may find it a bit easy.
All staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you.
We all agreed we would definitely like to play this course again
Helpful staff
Very helpful staff from the pro shop to the bar. Helped us change our tee time to allow another player to join us which they didn’t need to do. Course in good condition and a lovely set up. I recommend taking sun cream, a brolly, and a thick coat. Has its own weather climate (all seasons in 1 day)
Like it.Good time, good round, good course conditions, fantastic marks were to go.
Picturesque
Really enjoyed playing here last Saturday. Early tee off with no one in front or behind. Weather was perfect and really highlighted the beautiful surroundings of this course. The course itself was in very good shape. The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is a slight lack of drainage in areas coursing some very soft conditions underfoot.
Lovely course
Lovely course. Great facilities and friendly staff. Will go again for sure. I recommend a buggy as the course is long if by walking on foot. Glad we rented one. Bargain price too.
Pace of play!!
Course is fantastic, split in two halves crossing over a road towards a sailing lake. But pace of play was shocking at best, especially when the groups causing the hold ups were members, who I don’t think realised how long they were taking.
Daniel M
Liked the course, despite it being boggy after a lot of rain. The greens were in good condition, which is important. However the stand out feature was the friendliness and hospitality we found from everyone. The lady in the pro shop is just super friendly, as was anyone we talked to. Very refreshing- will go back this summer
Massively overpriced
Started out promising with some interesting and well kept holes. Unfortunately, half the holes were on a piece of land which resembled a farmer’s field (unsuccessfully) converted into a golf course. Layout was ok with a few dog legs requiring putting your ball in the right spot. Bunkers generally lacking in enough sand. Greens ran pretty true but not particularly interesting complexes. To be fair to it, the pace of play was fantastic for a Saturday morning. The views were ok but nothing compared to other (and much better) courses I’ve played nearby like Shrigley and Disley.
Ultimately, the reason I felt compelled to write this review was that I feel totally ripped off paying £45 for the pleasure. I won’t be back.
