Great condition , lovely trees and course to ourselves
Nice course, better price!
I play this course every year. Every year it’s in good condition, this year the greens weren’t quite as good as usual. It is early in the season and they look like they just need a little more growth and good cut. It’s a nice little course and for the price I paid a bargain with no complaints. Fairways were excellent and tee blocks were mainly fine. Recommend all golfers. Big hitters or high handicappers will find it interesting. The bar staff were lovely and pro shop has everything you need.
One of best in Manchester
Tucked away behind the houses, it’s a beautiful woodland course with a variety of holes, some really long especially the front 9. The club house is lovely, as are the staff. One of the best in the area.
lovely day
teed off at the perfect time a bit busy behind
course very good especially the greens and fairways
tees a little tired though
will play again
Challenging and compact
Definitely a course I would play again. Greens in great condition, friendly staff, interesting and varied holes. Some par 4s a little short, but by no means easy. A good challenge.
Great little course!
I first played here as a junior 15 years ago. Little has changed, which is a very good thing. Some interesting little par 4s and the two par 5s need two amazing shots to hit the green. Generally it's always in good condition. I do my best to play here a couple of times a year. Recommend to any player.
Lovely
Course was in better condition than the last time I played it, greens were in really good condition.
Bunkers were the worst part but by no means were they in bad condition.
Great value for money also!
Slow play made us abandon our round.
Booked a tee off time through teeofftimes website for Friday. The staff were very friendly on arrival and facilities seemed good.
We began playing at 2.16pm and by 3.30 we had only just got to the 4th tee due to slow play. It was verging on ridiculous. By 3.30 we had enough as we were only a two ball and we were waiting for over 25 mins a hole.
Apart from the slow play issue the course seemed to be in good condition and the greens were very quick. A real shame.
Lovely round!!
Although the weather was inclement at the beginning of the round, it didn't dampen the warm welcome we received or the great day we had! It's a course that is tree lined, unforgiving rough and with strategic bunkers placed on all of the hole's, so hitting straight is a premium!! But all in all would play this course again.
Nice course to play
Chorlton is a very pleasant course to play with a fantastic clubhouse with great history. How many clubhouses can you visit that have a Saint (St Ambrose) as one of its previous inhabitants. Check out the scribings on the leaded window in the forecourt to give yourself an idea of the history of the place. Also take a look at the family tree chart in the clubhouse.
Although not a long course, there are lots of ditches to catch errant tee shots. It also possess one of the longest opening par 4's in the county & the longest par 4 (475 yds). With a par of only 70, it will test your game to the full.
