Day Spoilt at C D H
The day was spoilt by a four ball of gentlemen who held us up for nearly the whole round. We were waiting on every tee and approach shots. Etiquette is an important part of golf and it was a shame that none of the gentlemen wanted to show any knowledge of it. Obviously this did not just impact us but the whole field of players behind.
Lovely course
Lovely course with medium level of difficulty .. tees were a little bit tough I places but fairways and greens good albeit the greens are small
Challenging Chorlton
Have played this course several times, always challenging with great greens. Staff have been friendly and welcoming. Many different types of holes, some open, some very tight.
Will definitely return and would recommend this hidden gem
Friendly staff in the pro shop
The weather was atrocious so we didn’t play and the pro shop staff have given us a credit to play later. Friendly and helpful staff.
Shockingly good value course !!!
I was up in Manchester from London and booked this course on GolfNow. Driving through a built up area, I was a bit dubious on what I had booked but within minutes my concerns were forgotten. The pro shop guy quickly booked me in and sent me on my way. It was 3pm on a Saturday and hardly any people on the course as 1 it had been raining earlier and 2 England were playing later.
Anyway to cut a long story short - I can say that I haven't been on a better managed course. Posts everywhere and really well tended fairways and greens. I spoke to Daniel, the course manager and he was brill - very friendly. He's obviously doing a great job. I met a few local members on the course and they were all very friendly.
The course itself was a good challenge for 13 handicap and I managed to meet it.
All in all, great course, good challenge, excellent maintenance and great members...you folks up North have a gem...I am jealous!!
Tough but fair
Great course in excellent condition when I played. Held up by a golf society day at times but that can’t be helped too much. Friendly staff throughout and good practice facilities. Will be joining as a member shortly as I was looking for my next club.
Lovely course just caught it on a bad day when it was extremely busy, only played 14 holes due to arriving on 15th tee at 8pm which was 3 Hours 20 mins into the round, Had caught up to three groups in front of us. Enjoyed all the holes we did play and condition were perfect.
Good friendly club
Good course, with easy walking, greens were in decent condition too. Tees could do with some work though.
Good challenge
The course was in good condition, it is a tight mature course which presents a fair golfing challenge.
Some greens in poor condition
Some of the greends were in poor condition so the green fee should have reflected this!
Slowest game ever
Massively oversold. Having to wait for every single shot. I get Friday evening is a popular time but I’ve never had a round like this. Awful
Poor condition.
Never played this course before & won't be rushing back. Greens in very poor condition, & a dirty mucky looking ditch that runs around the course.
Not scenic at all, no views as someone has put but expected if you're in a built up area. Confusing as to where some Tee's are, especially the third.
If you live around there, try travelling a bit out of town to find a nice course.
Great course in lovely parkland
Great course in rolling parkland. Got that private, not overused and well established feel to it. Challenging and some very long par 4s. Will be returning to better my score (hopefully).
Great course
Played here on 23/05/2021 after 2 days of torrential rain. Course was in fantastic condition with no standing water.
Staff were very friendly and helped with navigating the course.
Only moan was we'd booked a 13:00hrs tee time and at 13:00hrs a 3 ball and 2 ball were waiting on the 1st tee in front of us. Only added 10mins but I'd definitely play here again.
Had a pint in club house and bar lady was very accommodating and even even offered to make us something to eat with our pints. Met Mr Barlow from GolfMates who was moaning as usual but had a good chat and laugh with him - top bloke.
Great place to play
With all the rain lately very surprising to see a very dry course a very good park land course
£30!!!!
Wouldn’t pay £30 a round for this club, tea and greens extremely poor
Course after day of heavy rain
Played this course before pandemic and it's a great round with lots of different and challenging holes.
We played the day after the skies opened, so there was patches of water but the greens got better and faster as the round went on. Would recommend
