Poor condition
Tees awful, greens hadn’t been mowed in a long time.
Weird as fairways, rough and bunkers were nice.
Bit weird, but without playable greens the round was sadly ruined
Great course and a nice bar
Very nice course with friendly guy in the pro shop. Course has a little wear but is well set out and interesting to play. Carts were old and loud so walking or trolley is a better option.
Picturesque course
Lack of range was disappoining and the chipping area is small. Practice nets have definitiely seen better days and there are only 2 of them.
The course itself was very pleasant and scenic course with genuine old trees - it felt well-estabilished. A water feature or two would have been nice.
Greens were well kept, and on the slow side.
No one behind us (2 ball) and we didn't catch those in front, so excellent pacing.
Staff were lovely - happy to go back for a round or two.
Nice little track.
For £15 a head on golf now was excellent value and will definitely return even if we have to pay more.
Slow and unkept
Played Coulsdon Court for the first time in quite a few years, and it's a shame to see what it has become.
Didn't start of so well as had to wait 15mins for the shell of a club shop to re-open.
Play was slow in front of us (we was a 2 ball), we couldn't see what the hold up was in front. We let 2 other 2 balls play through as they had buggies, but they didn't get far either. Turns out that Coulsdon Court allowed a group of 6 to go out together. Even the course Marshall came round and asked if we had seen the group of 6 "as they always hold up play". If you know they hold up play, why allow a group of 6.
Greens had weeds growing out of them.
Rough had been cut, but the cuttings left so if your ball ran into the rough, it was literally looking for it in hay.
You can see why it's £23.75, but there is much better value around for twilight golf.
Disappointing as i know how great this course used to be.
Average
Better courses near by for same price range, too much deep rough, if you go in the rough it's basically a lost ball. This slows the pace of the game down. bunkers have weeds growing out of them. Greens were bobbly. Tee boxes were terrible, alot of temp tees. This could be such a nice course if it was looked after and had a bit of tlc. The bar staff were very nice. All staff were friendly. Unfortunately I won't be returning unless there are improvements.
Excellent value
The course is not the best kept around but, for a public course, is more than acceptable. The holes are challenging enough and better that I expect from a public course. Overall, it is excellent value for money and will definitely play again.
Excellent value
The course is not as well kept as most private golf clubs but, for the cost, it is excellent value for money. There are some challenging and interesting holes, especially the longer par 4's. I will definitely play again.
Nice course; excellent value. Better in the summer. bit muddy
It's a nice course with lovely mature trees. Some interesting holes. Excellent hospitality and very good bar/restaurant. Like many courses, it's sometimes muddy in the winter months, and it's much more enjoyable in the summer. But for value for money, it's very good.
Nice course, not so nice players
The course itself was in good condition considering the amount of rain we've had. Unfortunately what happens quite often here, we were stuck behind a 4 ball who refused to let us play though (we were a 2 ball with a buggy) so it took almost 4 hours to get round.
It's a nice course with some nice holes, rough isn't too bad if you get in it. I'd play again, but maybe not an early tee time in case we get stuck again.
