Friendly staff in pro shop and bar. Course in decent condition considering the amount of rain we've had in Jan & Feb. However, £70 is a lot of money to play in damp and muddy conditions. Trolleys allowed which was good. Overall good winter course if somewhat expensive.
Lovely course, drains incredibly well ( chalk ) super friendly staff
Played here a few times and have now applied to join..
Super friendly staff...great facilities, proper.clubhouse,practice areas...and the course is excellent...
Being on chalk.you can play all year around,unlike many of the more celebrious courses nearby which close at the first time sign of rain !
Greens are really good,a proper test for golfers of all ability...
Steve the club pro is a lovely guy, super friendly and has a great pro shop.

Excellent Value
We were looking for somewhere new to play and Banstead had always been on my radar, rumour had it as a good quality course.
I can confirm the course is in amazing condition, great greens, surrounds and tee boxes. Weather has made all fairways a little iffy but preferred lies resolved any issues with that, generally they weee in good condition as were the bunkers.
If you can get on here for £40 or under it’s excellent value, but I would gladly pay £60 - all I would say is that it was busy but at least pace of play was decent!

Good golf course nearby
Play Banstead down the first time, green are well maintained, fairways is brown and hard because of the dry weather. I look forward to play again when the weather gets better.

Tricky holes where you need to think what club needs using, not just a bombing driver down the middle course.
The only negative was the bare fairways but it's understandable due the very hot summer we've had.
Great greens and lots of bunkers.
Not as good as I remembered it
I think a lot of courses have suffered from the wet winter and then incredibly dry March. The fairways were patchy and the greens had recently been hollow tined. That being said, the course has a good layout with well placed bunkers that were well maintained and at over 6000 yards is a challenge for the shorter hitters. I will come back and play it again, but maybe when it’s had a chance to recover.
Really enjoyed the course considering the weather we have had I could not find any fault. Greens were very difficult to read. I repaired more than just my pitch marks and I still fail to understand if you like playing the game respect the course.
Coped very well with the rain
It had been pouring down for about 4 hours and had only stopped when we arrived at the course. Inspite of this, the conditions were perfectly playable apart from water in the bunkers. Fairways were in good condition and the course is sufficiently challenging without it feeling like a slog.
Considering the amount of rain we have had recently the course held up very well. The greens were in great condition and the course a great challenge. Looking forward to play there again.
