Heron Reach
I played on my own and found the course to be a very interesting lay out. I was behind a group for 4 holes but they were kind enough to let me go through at the first decent opportunity.
I was able to break 90 despite 2 7s, 1 8, and two 3 putts for bogies.
Played Yellow tees and the par 3s were reasonable and I enjoyed making par on 3 of them and a bogie 3 putt on the other. Par 5s were reachable in 3 for an old 73 year old like me.
Good course
Well maintained course with good facilities. Interesting and varied holes but not too difficult, acceptable to average player.
Far too busy 3rd time I've walked off the course due to too many tte times and slow play
Amazing day
Great course and great food and drinks afterwards! Would recommend and would definitely play again
Great condition considering the amount of rain we had recently
Still a little damp in places, but overall fantastic considering the record amount of rain we’ve had.
Greens and fairways very good.
You will lose a few balls in the many lakes!
Quite a long course, and very challenging.
Not hilly at all, so a lovely walk round too!
One of the best in Blackpool.
I do the buggy every week.
Great course, play most Thursdays. I’m great at the buggy around the course. Greens are firm in the summer months. Buggy’s. Plenty of water for me to buggy past.
Herons reach 20/7/23
Course is in good condition although the tees are a bit scruffy. The course has long rough and has tight fairways. Lost a lot of balls and didn't find any. I play off 22 and can generally hit a reasonably straight ball but this course was too tight for me. I won't be playing here again
Challenging course with great facilities
Fantastic practice facilities and a very challenging course. Be straight off the tee or you’ll find yourself racking up a big score with out of bounds and water everywhere. Pace of play was horrendous though I must say. I was playing solo and I was queuing with two groups on each tee box. 4.5 hours is completely unacceptable.
Good choice
This was the first time playing this course for either of us, but we both enjoyed the challenge.A good variety of holes on quite a windy day.
Our only gripe was the cost of food and drink in the bar afterwards.
Much improved
Excellent course, have played a handful of times in the past but not for 4 years. Dont know if we just got lucky this time but in the past was always way overcrowded, so much better this time. Course has improved too, superb condition. Staff very welcoming. Overall great experience.
Not very good
I thought the course fairways, bunkers and greens were terrible, maybe due to the weather but the fairways were shocking. the whole course was like playing in a muddy farmer field
The staff and facilities are fantastic but the course is not worth the money and I'm glad i didn't join
Golf Course
Good course and in good condition for the time of year, in particular when most courses have restrictions in place. Although a shortened course, no other restrictions were in place and the greens were true and putts rolled out good. Excellent value for money.
Very enjoyable course from start to finish
A warm welcome from the guys in the pro shop. Course was in good condition considering time of year. Greens are reasonable size. Layout flows very well. We had a great day out. Great value for money. Will definitely be playing again.
Herons reach
Played there for the first time, I was expecting fantastic fairways and greens. I know its winter but thought the fairways would be better. That's all the course layout is brilliant. I do think the green fees are a little high. We'll worth once in awhile for a round.
I'm looking at going here for a weekend away in 2024 - please could you share a bit of info on what the prices of food and drink in the bar were? Thanks in advance
