Unbelievably muddy especially the back nice serious drainage issues and no treatment for worm casts. Shouldnt really be open.... in fact Unplayable and thats a shame as clearly a lovely track once.

Excellent day’s golf

The course was quiet so no problem waiting or being chased from behind. A relatively forgiving course which feels quite long (probably because of the walk over the A34 roughly between two halves of the round) undulating rather than very hilly. Fairways & greens in superb condition. Pro Shop, Bar & Restaurant staff all very pleasant, welcoming and efficient. A throughly good day’s golf on a course I could recommend to anyone.

This the second time we have played the course and again had a great round.

We are not brilliant golfers playing off 24 but had an excellent round. It is reasonably challenging with cunningly placed bunkers and greens on more than one level.

Greens are well cared for and putt accurately, not that we always managed this! Fairway in good condition and nice variety with first 9 holes being on the higher ground and back 9 in the vale.

You need to be reasonably fit to walk but buggies available if not.
