Dunscar Golf Club

Only 14 holes open and all winter greens, closed holes signed erratically ie some signed and some not, green to next hole signage not very apparent, no hole map on card.

Booked it earlier in the week, check on the clubs Web page on update of the course and nothing was on it.

On arrival went it to the shop which was small and everything was everwere (cluttered)

Was told but the person behind the till that 4 holes were closed all holes were on temp and had to play of mats, when asked him can I rent a mat was told no had to pay for one that cost £10. The staff member was very arragent towards me and gave me alot of attitude aswell.

Whilst on the course temp greens were horrific and trying to play of the mats were near to impossible as the course very uneven so when u place the ball on it was rolling off several times the ball move as going down on my swing.

Members there was very snabby aswel spoke to another player who had never been there before and his experience was the same as mine and my groups.

Was very disappointed and was a shame as the course looks like it could be very good an challenging in the summer but due to my experience I won't be attending this course again

Was not told online or by staff members that there were temporary greens which were like a football pitch

Enjoyed playing Dunscar. A couple of greens were closed due to maintenance but accept that this time of the year. Overall though the course was dry and in good condition. Didn’t realise though Golf now group you with other players to make a 4 ball if there’s only a couple of you. Worked out fine though

Course was full of snow and ice all on temp greens which was on stayed on club website or when we booked the Tee boxes we're slippy . Couldn't see temp greens because of snow

Very disappointed as I have played here before and was impressed but in those conditions they should give u the heads up

Nice course , great layout, pity about the winter greens,unable to use a putter on most greens, summer time it would be an excellent course

Had time to play a one ball and got round in 2 hours 40mins. It was quiet for my late morning slot which suited me. The course was in superb condition considering the amount of rain we’ve had of late. All tees and greens were being played off apart from the 18th which isn’t bad at all for this time of year. A variety of tests across the course with hills everywhere! Blind tee shots, sloping fairways and greens will test most golfers

I got round with a top 3 score so was very happy considering it was my first time around here

Easy to get a tee time on a Sunday afternoon on Golf Now. Reasonable priced at £19.50

Interesting & challenging layout.

Greens look like they have had drainage laid in last 12 months or so & need some work to bring them up to a higher quality

Good course. Lots of tricky holes. Suit 12/18 handicap

We played on a very hot Sunday.

No course amenities really needed cold refreshments

Would recommend

More signage from the main road would be a massive help.

Make sure you have golf insurance when playing here, most of the course is very cramped and most fairways have a hard slope left or right, it’s like a game of dodge ball…not golf.

The greens are not in the best state either.
