Dunscar Golf Club

Enjoyed playing Dunscar. A couple of greens were closed due to maintenance but accept that this time of the year. Overall though the course was dry and in good condition. Didn’t realise though Golf now group you with other players to make a 4 ball if there’s only a couple of you. Worked out fine though

Course was full of snow and ice all on temp greens which was on stayed on club website or when we booked the Tee boxes we're slippy . Couldn't see temp greens because of snow

Very disappointed as I have played here before and was impressed but in those conditions they should give u the heads up

Nice course , great layout, pity about the winter greens,unable to use a putter on most greens, summer time it would be an excellent course

Had time to play a one ball and got round in 2 hours 40mins. It was quiet for my late morning slot which suited me. The course was in superb condition considering the amount of rain we’ve had of late. All tees and greens were being played off apart from the 18th which isn’t bad at all for this time of year. A variety of tests across the course with hills everywhere! Blind tee shots, sloping fairways and greens will test most golfers

I got round with a top 3 score so was very happy considering it was my first time around here

Easy to get a tee time on a Sunday afternoon on Golf Now. Reasonable priced at £19.50

Interesting & challenging layout.

Greens look like they have had drainage laid in last 12 months or so & need some work to bring them up to a higher quality

Good course. Lots of tricky holes. Suit 12/18 handicap

We played on a very hot Sunday.

No course amenities really needed cold refreshments

More signage from the main road would be a massive help.

Make sure you have golf insurance when playing here, most of the course is very cramped and most fairways have a hard slope left or right, it’s like a game of dodge ball…not golf.

The greens are not in the best state either.

Nice club everybody made us welcome from the pro to bar staff and people's on the course ..great condition great greens lovely fairs way ..one moan bit like bomb alley down the bottom part of the course had to duck a few times having said that we loved our day at Dunscar we'll be back soon if the price is OK don't put visitors off by inflating the prices please keep them reasonable.

Always enjoy visiting Dunscar GC, it’s a warm and welcoming venue with great facilities.both on and off the course.

In order to reach the car park and course, you have to negotiate a narrow track, with plenty of speedbumps that are not easily seen. I went to check in at the pro shop, but this was locked, and no indication how long for.. fortunately we've played the course once before in winter. I did eventually find the pro shop open, and was told he'd been having his breakfast! ( A simple sign on the door would have been helpful). We then found ourselves following 3 ball society guests. As we were a 2 ball, we are happy to pace ourselves - not too pushing, but keeping a good pace of play. We were approached half way round by Mr Captain who I believe were playing matchplay with another 4 ball behind him. He asked if we'd let both games through .. we approached the game in front of us, and they categorically refused to let them through ..This left my partner and myself feeling rushed from behind and constantly pushing the game in front. Quite often, other groups were on out fairway, having misfit their balls. This is probably due to the proximity of the fairways, greens and tees. Overall, I found the experience to be tarnished, on what was a very nice course, with well kept greens, and good fairways.
