Fantastic course , well maintained and greens excellent. A very enjoyable experience

Some challenging blind holes and some long par 5’s. it’s a tough walk and quite hilly and therefore a bit slow, though we had no one in front or behind us. It was early spring so there were some mats in use. The hole layouts were well designed and the greens were in great shape.

Would love to return in summer when the trees are full and green.

One of the best courses in the north east. Tge course was in perfect condition in winter that’s remarkable greed we’re pristine. The upgrades to the pond on entering the course were stunning will be back *****

Played for the first time on 18.10.21. The layout is magnificent from the very first hole. The greens were as good as any I’ve played on this year, even at this time of year (and I’ve played on quality courses like Silloth, Carlisle, Goswick, Roxburghe). The course was so good that I phoned the club the next day to ask about joining next year, even though I live north of the Tyne. I was playing with my dad who said it was the best course he had ever played. Can’t say much more than that really.

First time on this course and I have to say I couldn’t fault it. Very nice course and the greens were in top top condition for the time of year. In fact, possibly the best greens I’ve played all year. Well worth a visit!!

Greens quick and true, fairways well looked after, staff in the bar very welcoming. Though the wind kept our scores up, that was the most pleasant round of golf you could hope for in October. Added a 4th to our booking last minute and the proshop matched the GolfNow price.

Will be back soon and seriously considering membership there next year.

First time playing at Durham. The course was excellent

Unfortunately we played to 15 greens which were being treated. We were not aware of this and feel that we should have been offered a reduced price in these circumstances as it spoiled a good experience.

First time playing this course really good course and definitely will be back in the near future

Not long by modern standard but still challenging for all levels.

Every hole looks interesting, with superb greens. Friendly staff.

A must if you're around the area.

Can't fault it, with one niggle.

We were not allowed to remove the flagsticks while putting, despite our visit being after the change in guidance from central government and England golf. Seems a bit strange that the "back to normal" play was not adopted here.

Didn't detract from an otherwise enjoyable day.

Long and short holes need you to keep your ball in play, avoiding the trees and particularly the river on 3,4 and 5. The greens are also a good test but are consistent and fair.

Greens hard but receptive. Fairways in good condition despite dry weather. Enjoyable course. Weather turned last few holes didn’t spoil the experience. Looked forward to pint on terrace was spoiled unfortunately. Next visit , defo

Top notch course lovely layout no 2 holes the same a bit Boggie in places understandable since it had been raining for a week before we played the best greens av putted on in a long long time haven’t played anywhere better for the money we paid will be definitely returning in future
