Forest of Galtres Golf Club

The course was dry which encouraged the ball to run. The course was not busy as is normal after 2.00pm. I would have given a five for course condition but the greens had some Spring treatment on them. They'll soon be in excellent shape.

Opened to 15 holes today and playing nice .. should be full 18 at the weekend if it stays dry .. The course been rested whilst it’s been frosty over last few weeks has helped even though not been able to play has been missed

The bunkers need a good take from maintenance now

Tough underfoot conditions due to time of year weather. All normal greens which were well prepared and all normal tee boxes except Par 3’s which weee off mats. A nice pre Christmas round.

Bunkers good. .. all been attended to with fresh sane .. greens are running sweet

A beautiful golf course helpful staff-course in a good condition-a just loved playing golf there.

Decent course and layout .. greens are good with nice open fairways

All the holes are good challenges

Bunkers need some work after rain could do with a small man held pump to empty water and a good rake as seen on others courses recently

Litter in Carpark still there from weeks gone by ..

Fresh sand to bunker when dry or again a good rake may solve this otherwise enjoy the course and would recommend..

Dried out quickly in most area .. bunkers in most places were unusable after the rain otherwise decent course with some nice challenges and good par 5s too

Nice welcome form staff . Greens good fairways lovely .. lots of trees and challenges .. plenty of space for open driving ..

What a hidden gem. Friendly staff. Condition of the course is good. Wide open fairways so the odd slice isn’t punished.

Greens were consistent and true. Some washboarding on the fairways due to being cut with a Toro mower. Approaches and surrounds good. Tees were needing some work.

Great course and a good test of golf. Nicely positioned trees to consider when on the Tee.

Would definitely return.

Was a member here 24 years ago and course is maturing nicely some 30 years after being opened. Probably needed a cut after heavy overnight rain coupled with good growing conditions but very enjoyable round.Still played to my old handicap👍

The course was a very enjoyable experience. Not too difficult but still a good challenge. Overall it was in very good condition the greens were running very well. I would like to play the course again.

So a nice stroll round for us older golfers.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Subtle changes have been made to this course, letting some of the grass grow longer under the trees and between holes adds a new dimension and makes it look so much more considered. The greens were lush but were a bit on the slower side although it was probably two days since the last cut so I can understand.

Biggest bug bear was the bunkers, put a bit more sand in and reconstruct the edges.

Course is in excellent condition. Very friendly staff. And a lovely course to play. Some long holes so bring your driver 😂

First time playing here and can’t believe I left it so long to do so.

Really enjoyed my game here , will be coming back soon and can see it now being a regular course for me.

It’s a flat but still challenging course, exceptionally well maintained, with the greens particularly in fantastic condition.

If you’ve not played here before, don’t make the same mistake as me and get yourself booked in.
