Very slow play from 1 ball in front. I was also a 1 ball and asked to play through and was told very abruptly no. I've played here numerous times and never experienced this before. Guy in front had all the toys and whistles. Every shot he was checking phone and watch. Kept relining his shots and after taking it would stand for 30 seconds just swinging club. No play in front either. After I asked on 5th he went even slower in play. So on 8th tee after waiting about 10 mins i walked off. Waste of £20. Loads signs up saying let faster player play through but must have been so unlucky to have been behind a total bell end. Only day off I've had in 12 says and wanted to enjoy a round before Xmas. Other than that staff were great. Course in good nick for time of year. Just the 1 member who is a toss pot

We arrived after paying £30 each to find the entire course on temporary greens which were awful.

. I thought at least we would receive a phone call to advise us of this so we could book elsewhere.

Due to school pick up times we had no option but to play.

All round an amazing course! First time visiting as I am not local and will definitely be making a trip back here again. Lovely looking course with immaculate greens. Different challenges all over and relatively flat so makes it even more pleasurable. People extremely friendly with great facilities.

Played here a few times and never been an issue but round took over 4.5hrs for a 3 ball today. Also at the end of the round there were 8 or 9 people standing making noise just a few yards from the final green following the end of a kids comp ( not kids fault). Parents apologise but a committee member wouldn’t and kept saying it was acceptable ... but bizarre. Greens were good though as a positive. Would still play here again but that committee member was a joke and doesn’t represent what is a decent set up

Its the first time I have played this course. The surrounding of the clubhouse is wonderful. Friendly staff at the pro shop with full of smile .

Course condition was brilliant . Wide fairway and really nice green. I was really enjoyed it .

Greens big , good condition. Fairways. Closely mown. Tough but v enjoyable

Have used the driving range here dozens of times and always wondered what it was like to play.

After today I was disappointed somewhat.

Tee to green was great with some real careful play required.

The greens unfortunately were shocking!

They have clearly been recently tined or airated and not quite recovered and we were not notified of this and putting was extremely difficult and spoilt our round quite frankly.

There was far too many unrepaired pitch marks too for such a supposedly nice golf club!

Also the bunkers were wet and unplayable and we weren’t notified if they were GUR beforehand but they should’ve been.

Great course with friendly staff and members, Green keeper's have it in great condition for this time of year all greens in play.. Food top notch, nice welcoming club house. Well recommend a visit

It was a pleasure to play

First visit and enjoyed the wide and generous fairways and greens in great condition (for October). Following heavy rain the fairways were very soft and some bunkers were waterlogged. Overall a great course for either high handicappers or big hitters who will love the wide fairways making for some target golf. Pace of play was excellent and allowed to play through immediately by both groups we encountered (thank you). Off course facilities and club shop were great. Decent value at £16.00 for the round.

I wasn’t made aware that the course was on temporary greens when booking. All the course was in good condition, it was dry and warm and had been for some time. I would have enjoyed playing the main greens but flags stuck in the middle of a very hard fairway spoilt it for me, it also made the course play very short as the temps were 50yards short of the actual greens on every hole. Walked off after 9. Does have a nice practice area and driving range attached.

Had a great game here and the course is in great condition. The green were very good the tees were huge. The only downside was there was no food available at the clubhouse. With this being a hotel I would have thought this wouldn't be an issue. Nevertheless, it was a great day.
