Slow play
Very frustrated today being stuck behind three groups of four players, etiquette was none existant as we were a two ball. We were held up numerous times waiting for some one to let us through, it didn't happen. Spoilt a decent game
Slow play
Played this course for the last 2 weekends very slow play, 2 groups went after 9 holes & we were still waiting every hole, enjoyed the course nice layout, good facilities, will try again in the week
Pretty Basic Course
This is fine as a cheap pay & Play course.
It is quite flat and uninteresting with little or no hazards to worry about. The greens are poor but fast.
The course would benefit from a few more trees and bunkers.
On the positive side, it would suit beginners and those who want to try out clubs and new techniques as the lack of hazards makes it open and easy to find off line balls.
Reasonable value for the money.
Nice but very slow
I like to play here 2 to 3 times a month but how ever .. the course is really good and is forgiving unless you slice or hook it by a long way then your ball is lost … but saying that I always find a ball .. But the real problem is slow play the course is great value but your not playing St. Andrews .. if it was I could understand .. the course not a long one so to take a little over 4 hrs is poor… played lots of courses bigger and gone round quicker even played hollinwell lots of times and that is a long course and done it in 3 half hours … and I’m not the straightest hitter …. Today how ever was busy which is good but we noticed people jumping in on the 10th which really slowed the day down .. people must remember play to your ability and when you hit your ball wayward into thick ruff just remember the time your allocated to find it and think of others …, course is lovely how ever slow play is becoming an issue
Tidy Parkland Course
Played yesterday via golf now. Course in good condition and provided a reasonable challenge. Ate afterwards in the clubhouse….ham, egg, chips and beans….good food and plenty of it at an affordable price. Good pace of play, so enjoyable day out.
Nice round
Good course if your getting back into the game, been out a few years, ideal course to start up, friendly staff, good greens, been a few times, enjoyed it.
Superb
Played this course 3 times now and each time I'm so pleased with everything. The course is forgiving enough for amateurs but has hazards that make you think about each club and shot. Staff are great and so helpful. Easily my favourite course to play. Only downside is pitch repair on greens... If guests could just repair their marks the greens would be absolutely outstanding
Great value
We’ve played here on and off over the years and you never know what to expect, it can be wet and almost unplayable it can be dry with cracked greens and ponds, and cutting seems to have no organised method on greens fairway or rough, it’s always a turn up and see what it’s like situation
At the moment However it’s as good as I’ve seen it.
Fairways look great, greens are fast and true and a decision seems to have been taken to remove a lot of the shin high rough that used to be in play alongside most fairways, this has sped play up no end and given the course a more open and dare I say it almost links style look on some holes
It’s got a nice mix of holes and in this sort of condition it’s a bit of a golf now bargain
Lovely bar, clubhouse, range, pro shop and a generous car park complete the picture, what’s not to like about golf here.
Impressive find
Discovered a little gem, par 69 so nothing overly strenuous, strategic dog legs and varied par three’s.
Inadvertently played on seniors day, but play was always moving
